Discovering unforeseen talents in every one of us, we will make our own musical instruments such as Popsicle stick harmonicas, and partake in theatre, dance, and music lessons. This will all be in preparation for our theme-based field trip to the University of Wyoming black box theatre where we will host a talent show allowing campers the opportunity to show off their skills for parents and friends!

Dinosaur Digs Date: June 27-July 1 Looking back to years and years before our time, we’ll discover the secrets of, and life before, the era of dinosaurs. We’ll create active volcanoes, clay dinosaur prints, and even hatch our very own dinosaur egg! We’ll learn about the Mesozoic era and the three periods of dinosaurs that make up this era; Triassic, Jurassic, & Cretaceous. We’ll be using all of the aspects of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) to do this, but you’ll be having too much fun to even notice that! This week will include a themed-based field trip to the UW Geology Museum located on the UW campus.

Week at the Beach Date: June 6-10 What could be more exciting than living on a beach for an entire week? Exploring all that happens on deserted islands, there will be sand, pirates, and more sand… oh my! Let’s kick off the summer with beach-themed crafts ranging from making our very own leis, sea glass candy, and tiki masks, to fun and challenging beach games such as the limbo, coconut bowling, and a hula hoop contest! Campers will end this week with a theme-based field trip to Undine Park, for a scavenger hunt to find pirates’ buried treasure and fun in the sun at the Splash Pad.
