Q: Why did you follow design & architecture?
Veliz: Since I was 10 years old without even knowing what architecture was, my wooden house was partially demolished and with all that rubble I built a 3-story house on a tree in the backyard of my house, from there I think I began to discover myself as an architect without knowing it. It was my best way of exposing my concerns as an artist and a human being with the need to express myself.

Q: What makes Veliz Arquitecto unique from the rest?
Veliz: I believe that what I am trying to establish is an Architecture that is defined by qualities that are thought for the future where it will play an important role according to my way of seeing it through an immaterial Architecture where through a virtual universe and the help of artificial intelligence to be able to live it without need to be built, so I try not to put obstacles when designing and putting my ideas into practice, all this characterized by a work within nature and to be more pretentious nature within the work.
Q: What is the process like when you are designing houses the way you do?
Veliz: I am always designing, I believe that my main design tool is my brain and from there I begin to model each space, and part of the process is also to put myself in the shoes of the person who is going to live it.
Q. What factors influence the design of sustainable homes?
Veliz: That the house works as a living organism that is capable of regenerating and having the least negative impact on the environment that surrounds it.
Q: Tell us about the cocoons and the architectural structure, what is it made of and when will it be available to the public?
Veliz: Its base structure is made of concrete and on this a wooden exoskeleton that embraces the entire building, in addition to the use of glass and natural fabrics, it is still in negotiations to be built by some investors.
Q: Who is the most influential person in your life?
Veliz: I am influenced by everything, I believe that the best work and reference is close to us and it is La Naturaleza.
Q. What kind of legacy do you want to leave in the world of design / architecture and culture?
Veliz: The best legacy is that people not only live and coexist with architecture but are able to feel with it, with that gesture I am happy that my work transcends sooner or later it will be forgotten but that it is capable of generating sentimental work at the time. and human already with that I am happy.
