ELWA: I am a beauty and lifestyle blogger and love to share my beauty and fashion knowledge with my community. I have been passionate about the beauty industry ever since I can remember. My first job was working as a receptionist at a beauty salon. I loved it so much that I decided to pursue my cosmetologist degree and became a hairdresser. I enjoyed every second of it! Later on I pursued my education at Long Beach State University and graduated with an M.B.A.
ELWA: Integrity is what I look for when it comes to a leader. Someone who is transparent and takes accountability. More importantly, someone who demonstrates empathy towards others. A leader acknowledges people’s perspectives all while keeping the vision intact.
Today I use my education and beauty expert knowledge to inspire and teach people the latest beauty trends.
ELWA: I would say I am most grateful for accepting who I am -- flaws and all. This has come with many ups and downs, and I am forever grateful for all those who have been on my journey. Without them I wouldn’t have the core values I have today.
