The Vivo Mi Calle (VMC) project is an initiative led by Despacio, in collaboration with WRI Colombia and the EAFIT University, and has the financial support of the Botnar Foundation. Its main objective is to improve the health and well-being of children and adolescents, promoting their active participation in the transformation of public spaces. In this way, it seeks to guarantee their right to live in cities that are healthy, safe and equitable. To achieve this, the project is developed in three fundamental lines of action: Political advocacy and community mobilization, Participatory urban planning and Leadership.

The methodological development of the Re-signification and Recovery of Public Space strategy was carried out within the framework of the Youth Resilient program of USAIDACDI/VOCA. The objective of this strategy was to promote greater appropriation, sense of identity and positive development of youth in 30 municipalities of Colombia.

A Self-Construction Manual for the intervention of the Montaña Mágica playroom was created, designed specifically for the demobilized people of the ETCR in Icononzo, Tolima.
This tool was developed based on the results obtained in the participatory design workshops, in which the ex-combatants had an active role.
