My Favourite ID (MFID) is a sought-after award that opens new doors and opportunities for local designers, architects and aspiring designers to be acknowledged in the ever-growing home and living industry.

As an exciting interior design competition, the main objective is to instill a competitive environment to mark the current standard of design in Malaysia and branch out new ways to enhance the quality of the interior design and architecture industry simultaneously. Designed to impress, the designers at A & A pursued the challenge of showcasing a minimalist but chic outlook for the unit. The main living area has been exclusively appointed with comfortable contemporary furnishings and quirky finer details while the gourmet kitchen houses a beautiful solid counter top and stainless steel appliances.

“Each unit opens out to unobstructed ocean views and lush green vistas, offering us a unique backdrop to unbridle our creativity and transform it into a special place,” says A & A CEO, Agnes Ang. “Our vision for this exquisite oceanfront condominium revolved around a holistic concept of an urban contemporary, quiet and stylish retreat with a neutral colour palette.”

“We played with asymmetry throughout the design to create a contemporary style that best fit the style requirements of our client,” Agnes explains. “We opted for a look and feel that is usually associated with simplicity. Hence, we employed clean lines instead of intrinsic details influenced by traditional styles. We feel that “modern” can be expressed more effectively through playing with contrasts between colours and textures. Spaces are also defined by purposeful architectural features and furnishings.”
