Woman hospitalized after taking overdose A 26-year-old woman was hospitalized after swallowing a large number of pills at a residence on White Street in Williamston. The woman, who was distraught after breaking up with her boyfriend, had left the residence by the time Officer John Pelong arrived, police reports said. But with the help of the woman’s boyfriend, Pelong was able to radio her location to Meridian Township police, who found her and had her transported to Sparrow Hospital.

Suspicious man seen lurking outside home City police searched

unsuccessfully for a suspicious man reported by a resident on E. Grand River Avenue. The resident told police she confronted a male in her driveway about 5:15 a.m. June 21, police reports said. He told her he was looking for something, then hurried across the street to where a second man was waiting. The men climbed into a white, flat-bed truck parked on Taylor Street and drove west on E. Grand River, the reports said.

Purse with credit cards stolen from parked car Police were investigating the theft of a purse from a vehicle parked at McCormich Park on June 23. The victim, 24, of Webberville, said she left the purse in her unlocked vehicle and came back to find it missing, a report on the incident said. One of the woman’s credit cards was later used at a gas station in Okemos, the report said.
