WILLIAMSTON — “Making Art Personal” is the focus of the Second Monday Artist’s Feb. 14 meeting, presented by local artist Mark Mehaffey. The meeting will be held at St. Katherine’s Church at 4650 Meridian Road (visit www.stkatherines.org for a map). Starting time is 6:30 p.m. Mehaffey recently was recognized internationally for a painting; the award was presented to him in China. “Mark wanted to be sure
and include photographers as well as the painters in this meeting,” Second Monday Artists spokesperson Anita Saviko said. “We all need to know how to make our work ours.” The February meeting is a favorite with Second Monday members, since it not only has featured a visit by Mehaffey the last few years, but also a banquet of chocolate treats brought by the members (bought or homemade — no candy bars).
