Delta-Waverly Garden Club sets meeting Native Plants and biodiversity will be the educational session presented by Ron Overton to the DeltaWaverly Garden Club at their next monthly evening meeting Wednesday, Oct. 13. The presentation begins at 6:30 p.m. at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 1519 Elmwood Road, Delta Township, just north of the Lansing Mall. Anyone interested in gardening or community service is encouraged to visit. Meetings, will be held the second Wednesday of each month. Annual membership is $20. Questions? Disabled vets group sets meeting Oct. 11 WINDSOR TWP. - Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 8, have set a meeting for Oct. 11, 7-8 p.m. at the Forty Eight Chateau, 2949 S. Waverly Road, Lansing, in the lower level main meeting room. The mission of this tricounty chapter is to help fellow veterans. All disabled veterans are encouraged to attend to build and renew friendships. A social hour will follow in the main club room. The City of Lansing has ceased to provide a veteran meeting location. Therefore, the group will be meeting at the 40 & 8 on the second Mondays, 7-8pm Call Al Opdyke at 517-321-2740.
