A suspect was arrested and a stolen car recovered after a township officer spotted a suspicious vehicle at a motel and ran a check on the license plate. After learning the vehicle had been stolen, officers contacted the owner through the Lansing Police Department, who identified one of the people staying in a room at the motel as the man who had borrowed his car and never returned it, township police said. The owner said the suspect had borrowed the car for what was supposed to be 10 minutes. The suspect was arrested and the car returned to its owner.
