2023 EDITION

LANSDOWNE IN HISTORY

1977

Lansdowne Park mall officially opened its door Wednesday, Sept 14 at 9:30 am.

1984

Vanprop Investments Ltd. buys the Centre and took over management.

1999

Lansdowne Park rebrands itself to Lansdowne Centre.

2001

Lansdowne Centre undergoes extensive renovations to make room for new stores.

A 46-year-old landmark in the Richmond community awaiting the new chapter of its evolution.

Lansdowne brand values are rooted on its storied history in the community. It’s very much entrenched in the community and welcomes everyone. It has evolved into a place where friends and family gather to have fun and make memories.

Lansdowne always welcomes everyone and is committed to being inclusive and catering to all groups in the community. It endeavors to have something for everybody.

FUN MEMORY BUILDER

In the last 46 years, Lansdowne has evolved from being a race track to the Centre we know and love today. Many memories have been created here and many more to come as it moves to the next phase of redevelopment.

Community is an essential part of Lansdowne’s history. Lansdowne Centre has been welcoming people through its doors since 1977. Through events and celebrations, it has cultivated a strong sense of community in Richmond.

Lansdowne’s logo is both vibrant and colourful to represent the groups of people that are part of Lansdowne’s community.

The modern adaptation keeps Lansdowne’s visual language and core values through the colourful elements representation.

A cleaner version with a colourful stroke that represents the vibrant community at Lansdowne.

Primary Logo

Use the colourful version over light and beige background. Use the colourful logo whenever possible.

EXCLUSION ZONE

For a clear and consistent usage of the logo, add “CENTRE“ dimensions as spacing between the logo and borders.

White Logo

Use the this version over dark colours.

Black

Logo

Use the black version where legibility or colour integrity would be compromised.

INCORRECT USAGE

Do not distort, squeeze or stretch the logo from its original shape.

Do not cut off any parts of the logo.

Do not use the primary logo over backgrounds that compromise legibility.

Do not use the white logo on lighter backgrounds.

Patterns are to be used as background and accent elements. Circles gives a friendly feeling to graphics and its used to annouce events.

Lines are elements well used on the late 70’s and 80’s, and gives dinamism and energy to graphics.

ARCHES

Arches are part of Lansdowne architecture, represents an evolving and welcoming pathway and symbolizes a comforting home.

TEXTURES

The use of a spackled texture gives a rich and unique look to Lansdowne graphics, and also connects to a vintage vibe.

Use it on top of colourful patterns and backgrounds.

80% opacity used when colourful patterns are on the canva.

The Beige colour is used instead of white background to give an “old journal” tone to Lansdowne’s graphics.

Veneer Regular is used for titles and headlines.

Veneer is a classic sans-serif typeface that have the appearance of handmade letterforms. This classic touch has made it look remarkable and brings the vintage feeling for Lansdowne and boldness of vintage editorial headlines.

SECONDARY Montserrat is used for paragraphs, body copy and secondary titles.

Montserrat is a geometric typeface featuring a large x-height, short descenders and wide apertures, this typeface achieves high legibility even in small sizes.

HIERARCHY

Readability of sentences is reinforced through the type weight and sizing of the font.

Establishing font sizes is dependent upon the content, following these guides provide consistency in ensuring this.

SPRING CARNIVAL

Spring Carnival is a pop-up event that happens in Lansdowne Centre annually. The logo and assets created for this joyful event are simple and easy to reproduce.

There are 4 different colourful graphics (ferris wheel, carroussel, circus tent and roller coaster) that can be used in different applications.

FOOD GARDEN

Lansdowne’s Food Garden logo is used annually for the seasonal event that happens between May and July.

It is easy to reproduce on different mediums and the elements (veggies and landscape) can be used individually.

LANSDOWNE CLUB APP

The Lansdowne Club App utilizes the brand identity of Lansdowne through texture and colour whilst keeping it fresh and recognizable.

The “plus” icon represents the extended benefits of the app for club members. The app is where the user can find rewards, information and much more.
