Founded in 2008, Language Campus is the leading language company in the Canary Islands. We take pride in being a rapidly growing, young company made u of a team of commited professionals.

Our way of teaching has been designed to help our students in a flexible and personalised manner that can be adapted to their needs and availability, in order to achieve rapid and strong progress in their study of languages. Further to this, our mission is to guarantee the provision of high-quality educational services, in a friendly environment, through the use of the latest educational technology, in comfortable and modern facilities.

OUR SCHOOLS

At Language Campus our methodology is adjusted to the principles promoted by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) as well as consistent assesment methods. We adapt to your needs and availability so that you can achieve rapid and strong progress, with the latest educationaltechnology in modern and comfortable facilities. We base our teaching upon an active participation of all students and we record your progress by continously assessing your language skills.

Languages taught

Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Arabic and Chinese.

Teachers qualifications

All our teachers arehighly qualified: degree + CELTA or equivalent. Some also hold the higher level DELTA, PGCE or MA in applied linguistics or MFL.

We have 3 schools located in the heart of the most populated city of the Canary Islands.

IMMERSION CAMPS

Our camps offer language learning in action. Our methodology is based on practical tasks, projects and experiences, building on previous knowledge and developing new skills (receptive, productive, interactive and mediation) as set down in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

In the current climate it not enough to be aware of the grammar of a language. You also need to know how to use it to communicate effectively with others. Using our own material and planning, we adapt to each student’s way of learning, consolidating the knowledge they already possess and enhancing those which are less developed.

Our experience shows us that in order for the experience to be successful, the classes must be taught by teachers who are motivated, with years of experience behind them and a considerable measure of charisma.

OLD CITY TOUR

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the capital of the island, is located in the north-eastern part of the island set in magnificent scenery composed of two bays and their beautiful beaches – Las Canteras beach and Las Alcaravaneras beach.

Founded in 1478, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria boasts an important historical and cultural heritage, much of which can be found in the district of Vegueta, the oldest quarter of the town. You can visit The Columbus House, a cultural institution located in that historic neighborhood.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has an impressive infrastructure of hotels and apartments and its harbour Puerto de La Luz is one of the most important in all Europe, giving the city a very cosmopolitan image. Only under the impulse of tourism and economic activities of the 60s was the city finally consolidated and settled with a population that has doubled in the last 30 years (actually around 400,000 inhabitants).

SURF

Las Canteras Beach is one of the top surf destinations in the world. Our students will enjoy surfing lessons organised by top professional surfers. Regardless of your level and experience, this is a unique opportunity to learn more about surfing and hit a few waves!

Today, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a bustling city overflowing with Spanish ambience, history and culture.

POEMA DEL MAR AQUARIUM

Poema del Mar is an aquarium located in the heart of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Students will be able to see extraordinary sea creatures through the largest crystals in the world. Among the animals that inhabit Poema del Mar, highlight the turtles, exotic fish, crabs, hermits, manta rays and hammerhead sharks. Students will feel part of the ocean!

The aquarium is divided into three themed zones: the jungle, the deep ocean and reefbeach; each with characteristic species and habitat. Young people will be able to learn about environmental conservation work and marine life.

CONFITAL BEACH AND SANTA CATALINA PARK

One of the main beaches of Las Palmas, El Confital It has a protected ecosystem and is a privileged spot for surfers.

The scene of the famous Carnival, Santa Catalina, is a lush area full of shops, restaurants and night life. Both places are within walking distance of our academy.

ARUCAS AND TEROR VISIT

These two towns are located in the center of the island, approximately 30 minutes by road from the academy. They are traditional mountain villages, characterized for its classical architecture and true canarian lifestyle.

ELDER MUSEUM

The Elder Museum of Science and Technology is an institution for scientific dissemination In the Santa Catalina Park in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The Elder Museum is committed to interactivity, to understand what is explained in its information panels through different experiments.

In its facilities are present different disciplines such as Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Computer Science, Engineering, Art... making it a bridge of communication with the public, transforming science into something close, participatory and enjoyable for all audiences.

ROQUE NUBLO AND AGAETE EXCURSION

Roque Nublo is a truly Canary Islands mustsee. It is almost ninety meters tall, and he is a proud memory of a distant past. It has inspired painters, writers and composers.

Agaete is an eminently coastal town located 30 kilometers from the capital, famous for it is a picturesque town with natural pools and a valley where the northernmost coffee in the world is produced.

BANDAMA CRATER AND BOTANIC GARDEN TOUR

This volcanic crater reaches 569 m (1,867 ft) above sea level at the highest point of its edge. The bottom of the caldera contains volcanic ash of different colors and some endemic plants of the Canary Islands.

The Botanical Garden of Gran Canaria houses 27 hectares of a complete example of the botanical wealth of the Canary Islands.

ANFI DEL MAR BEACH AND PUERTO RICO VISIT

The cozy beach of Anfi del Mar is located in the south of Gran Canaria. It is a beach of fine white sand whose waters are so calm that it is possible to swim calmly, like in a swimming pool. You can rent kayaks and water skates in which you will have fun.

Puerto Rico beach is located in Mogán, in the south of Gran Canaria. It is a cozy beach where the sea is always calm, so it is ideal to enjoy swimming at any time of the year.

DUNES OF MASPALOMAS AND MOGAN VISIT

The Dunes of Maspalomas are located in the south of Gran Canaria, right in the middle of one of the stretches of most visited coast in Europe. This huge expanse of sand dunes is one of the main attractions tourism in Spain.

The city of Mogán is an important tourist center known for its beach, lively atmosphere and port sports.

AQUALAND WATER PARK

LAS ARENAS SHOPPING

Located a few meters from Las Canteras Beach, in Las Arenas shopping center you will find the best stores, endless leisure activities and restaurants, everything to make your visit as pleasant as possible.

FAREWELL PARTY

There is also time to experience the city’s nightlife, including a farewell party students won’t forget.

ACCOMODATION

We offer a 3 and 4 stars hotel accommodation. Students would be accommodated in shared rooms (2-3 students per room). Each room has Wi-Fi and a bathroom with toilet. Both hotels are located in the city center a few meters from the academy and Las Canteras Beach.

All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) are taken in a hotel. We also provide packed lunches on full-day excursions.
