蘭加拉學院學術英語課程（簡稱LEAP）

英語技巧能力提升課程 (簡稱STEP) 歡迎母語非英語的國際學

蘭加拉學院學術英語課程（LEAP）是蘭加拉學院密集式進階的英

生以及加拿大學生就讀。STEP 是一個内容精彩的全日制密集式

語語言課程，其設計旨在幫助母語非英語的國際學生或加拿大學

初級英語語言課程，側重溫哥華和加拿大的環境與文化。

生， 為就讀英語授課的全日制大專院校作好準備。 LEAP 課程內

STEP 課程是專為提高學生口語、聽力、閱讀、和寫作技能而設置 的。豐富多元的課題、教材和活動，創造學生實用的語言環境。在 練習英語能力的同時，學生們也增進了對溫哥華、加拿大以及世 界各國的了解。每期課程為期7 週，每年有 6 期課程。學生們每 週在教室學習 20 小時，並需要完成每週約 10 個小時的家庭作 業。STEP 課程分為三個等級。每班平均 14 個學生。

容取材自許多不同學科。在本課程任何一級別的教學之中，都重 點培訓學術技能。學生的批判性思考能力及學術策略運用會透過 就讀這課程而進步。每期課程為期7 週，每年有 6 期課程。學生們 每週在教室學習 20 小時，並需要完成每週約 20 個小時的家庭作 業。LEAP 課程提供 從中級班到高級共 6個等級。平均每班 16 個 學生。若要進入LEAP 課程學習，學生必須達到最低的英語語言要 求。 LEAP 課程通過以下方式鼓勵學生融入蘭加拉學院的學術及社交

STEP 課程的教師均持有ESL教育(TESL）的高級學位，並有多年 ESL 的教學經驗。大部分教師均有在加拿大以外地區教授 ESL 課程的經驗。所有教師都經過嚴格篩選，篩選的標準包括教師在 教授學術英語方面的經驗、跨文化意識以及對幫助年輕學生獲 得學術成功的承諾。

從LEAP課程成功結業的學生可直接入讀大學轉學課程。 LEAP的教師們均持有ESL教育 (TESL) 的高等學位。所有教師都經 過嚴格篩選。篩選的標準包括教師在教授學術英語方面的經驗、跨 文化意識、以及對幫助年輕學生獲得學術成功的承諾。大部分教師 均有在加拿大以外地區教授 ESL課程的經驗。

國際學生 如何申請

符合入學資格： 1. 已完成 12 年正規教育 （相當於卑詩省 12 年級畢業生） 2. 英語能力要求： STEP 没有最低英語能力之要求 已在溫哥華的學生需 要參加STEP 預試

LEAP – 申請人需要具有 以下任何一項英語測試： 托福 (TOEFL) iBT 55 分 或 PBT 480分 雅思 (IELTS) 總分 5.0 語言能力測試 (LPI) 考 試 作文 3 級 多益 (TOEIC) 580分 加拿大學術英語評估 (CAEL) 30 已在溫哥華的學生需 要參加LEAP 預試

遞交申請文件： • 申請表 • 教育證明文件，非英語文件需加上經過公正的英譯本： （請勿遞交傳真件、影印件或掃描件） • 提供正式的高中成績單及畢業證書 或 • 提供正式的專科或大學成績單) • 155加元申請費（請用現金、加拿大境內銀行帳戶的支票、VISA 或萬事達信用卡支付） • 英語語言測驗成績單副本（僅在申請LEAP時需要） • 請勿使用銀行匯票、本票、美國運通信用卡或非加拿大境內的銀行帳 戶的支票進行支付。

STEP 與 LEAP 國際學生費用* STEP 與 LEAP 的國際學生費用：
