Environmental Street Furniture has been trading in Ireland since 1988 and since then has developed their business throughout the UK and most recently into international markets all over the world. ESF designs, imports, sources, stocks and supplies a huge selection of exterior street furniture products, exterior lighting (including LEDs) and highways products— all of which are available through local distribution networks. The products are promoted through four distinct collections: Signature, Simplicity, Sustainable and Streetwise.
The Gardeners Guild The Gardeners Guild now has a Maintenance Contract / Terms of Business Template for TGG members to download for free as part of their membership package. Members asked them to create a maintenance contract / Terms of Business Template that they could use. After consulting with members in their forum about what they wanted the document to achieve, they engaged a solicitor who is a specialist in contract law - after all, a poorly written contract is a useless document. The result is a document that members can download and personalise. Used on its own, the new document template can act as a general Terms of Business. However, the document can also be a client specific maintenance contract when combined with a formal written quotation.
ESF sources many products locally and from overseas, with the Signature Collection being developed in conjunction with mmcité from the Czech Republic.
By specifying payment terms as well as client and contractor responsibilities and liabilities, members can have greater confidence to grow their business.
One of mmcité’s more popular products in the UK would be the Miela park bench – where design has finally reached its goal – with refinement in unity and in detail. This charismatic bench profits from the modelled anatomy of its sideboard castings and is enhanced by the softly shaped upper lamella of the armrest. This is a carefully elaborated bench, and has been cultivated for the contours to flutter above the paving, bringing new craftsmanship standards to the field of street furniture. It creates the right contemporary counterbalance to the most valuable historical sites as well as humanizing modern areas already full of uncompromising architecture.
The aim is to help qualified, self-employed gardeners compete with larger firms by giving them affordable access to essential business tools. Membership is currently just £35 per year. The sideboard is made from machined castings of aluminium alloy, the saddle and armrest of the lamella are made from solid wood. An original and solid-footing are fixed to the groundwork and pavement. It has also been newly shaped as a bollard from cast aluminium.
