Good co-ordination of freight traffic will be vital to the smooth running of the Port of Veracruz in its new expanded form. APIVER has established a new control center for all truck traffic entering and leaving the port area and the Logistics Activities Zone (ZAL).

Activities Zone is now under way and this work is due to be completed in 2012.

CALT covers 13.8 hectares and is able to accommodate up to 650 heavy goods vehicles.
