En términos de acceso portuario, existen tres puertas que permiten la entrada del tráfico terrestre desde la ciudad de Las Palmas: •
El primer acceso se encuentra a la entrada del Muelle Santa Catalina y sirve a parte de la Dársena Interior.
•
El segundo (Plaza Belén María) es el más importante y da acceso a los muelles principales como el Muelle de Primo de Riviera, el Muelle Grande, el Muelle León y Castillo y a toda la Dársena Exterior.
•
El tercer acceso (Urbanización industrial El Sebadal) no se encuentra en servicio en la actualidad. Se espera su reapertura cuando la sección norte del área portuaria será más desarrollada.
La red viaria interior del puerto está formada por dos ejes principales de 4.000 metros y 2.700 metros de longitud, que conectan todos los sectores del puerto y se cruzan cerca del arranque del Muelle León y Castillo.
In terms of port access, there are three gates to allow freight traffic to enter the port area from the city of Las Palmas: •
The first gate is located at the entrance of the Muelle Santa Catalina pier and serves part of the Inner Harbour (Dársena Interior)
•
The second gate (Plaza Belén María) is the main point of access to major piers and quays such as the Muelle de Primo de Rivera, the Muelle Grande and the Muelle León y Castillo and to the whole Outer Harbour (Dársena Exterior)

The third gate (El Sebadal industrial zone) is not currently in service. It is expected to reopen when the neighbouring northern section of the port area is developed further.
The port’s internal road network consists of two main axes, 4,000 metres and 2,700 metres in length, which connect all sectors of the port estate and cross each other near the landward end of the Muelle León y Castillo.
