Lake Naivasha Resort is managed by the Friends of Lake Nakuru and Elementaita Conservation Project and was formerly an English colonial farmhouse. The Resort has 20 twin and double rooms and offers the same standard of accommodation as that found at sister Lake Nakuru and Lake Elementaita Lodges. The whitewashed central building features an original fireplace which adds to the property’s colonial-style atmosphere amid gardens of flowing roses that stretch down to the lake’s edge. A private landing jetty enables guests to take boat trips to view hippos and birds for which the lake is famous.

Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort was once an English colonial farmhouse, whose first official owner was King Edward VII. Today, Lake Naivasha Resort is a luxury resort with 84 rooms. Accommodation is in executive rooms and standard rooms with tailor-made packages to accommodate guests including individuals, couples, families, groups, corporate clients and honeymooners. There is a restaurant, a bar with games room, curio shop, open air dining area, camping grounds, children’s playground, baby sitting services, lounge with DSTV and laundry facilities.

The Lodge’s resident naturalist is available and guests can also drive or bicycle to nearby Hell’s Gate National Park or go horse riding from Lake Naivasha’s stables.

While visiting Lake Naivasha Resort, there are plenty of activities to take part in including boat rides on the lake, touring nearby Hell’s Gate, wildlife bush barbecue, Elsmere conservation and nature walks.
