NICK GIBSON

CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER

Nick Gibson’s journey with Lee Mechanical touches virtually every area of industrial construction management. Starting in the fab shop as a teenager, he worked his way up through the ranks of the company gaining experience as a welder, pipe fitter, estimator, and field superintendent and has a deep understanding of the inner workings and outer influences associated with large industrial developments.

Nick is particularly adept at bringing together all elements of industrial construction in a timely fashion to ensure projects meet deadlines and quality issues are dealt with proactively. He has mastered the art of problem solving and prioritizes communication across all stakeholders, whether employees, equipment manufacturers or project sponsors. Well regarded across the industry for his integrity, Nick is known setting the bar high for quality and safety.

In the late 2000s, Nick joined his brother Corey on a two-year educational fast track that would prepare them to take over the company from their father, Ernest Gibson—the company founder who started Lee Mechanical with a mere 30 employees in 1985. Today, Nick helps lead a company of more than 400 tradesman operating in more than 14 states, continuing the legacy of unparalleled customer satisfaction and quality work that has always characterized Lee Mechanical.

Nick is a licensed pipe fitter and received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Missouri- Saint Louis. He is community minded, serving on the board of directors for First State Community Bank in Missouri, Mineral Area College Foundation Board and Board of Education for St. Paul Lutheran School.
