Starting from Moor Park our parade will be led by SPARK!, a magical live music, movement and lighting spectacular and followed by a fabulous array of Preston’s finest procession groups including our Caribbean Carnival and Mela, Cacophony Arkestra, Bay Beat, Swati Dance Company, Jazz Swing Dance, Burnley Youth Theatre, Sparkle Dance Studios, Worldwise Samba Drummers and UCLan Dance. We will bring an extravaganza of music and dance through the city centre to our finale at the Bus Station Plaza.
Commissioned in 2021 Leo & Hyde bring this joyful musical theatre piece together with our Encounter Voices Choir, led by Loz Kaye, for a large-scale DORETTE: Singer, Dancer, finale to our Saturday events. Featuring a 50 Motion Capture strong choir and large scale projections onto St John’s Shopping Centre Dorette comes to life and shares her story with us.
