The new Group Syllabus was launched as of August 2025. First Exams will be run from 1st January 2026.
All Learners/ Groups planning to take an exam after 1st Jan 2026 must use the new syllabus.
Major updates include: We have made the qualifications more accessible to different Learners by increasing options for pieces and stimuli used within exams, we have also allowed for a mixture of read and memorised contributions from Learners that can be set according to the Group needs.
Webinars to explain the updates in more detail can be accessed on the Exams page of the website.
If you have started to prepare the Learners using the old syllabus and your selections cannot apply to the new syllabus, you may apply for a late registration onto the old syllabus for exams before August 2026. To access this route, you must evidence when the Learners started their preparation and how being examined on the new syllabus may disadvantage them.
Please note: ALL applications for a late registration must be made as early as possible before an exam and cannot be accommodated after.
Our current reviews underway are PCERT LAM and Musical Theatre.
We are also working on a range of new qualifications.
For example, our Storytelling qualification, due for launch Feb 2026 with first exams from August 2026, is a great alternative to Recital and Choral speaking for mixed groups who may have various needs and this qualification is unique in our portfolio as Learners can contribute in a number of ways that do not all need to be verbal.
To keep up with all our developments, it is essential to be signed up to our Newsletter. We will also tell you how you can be involved in developments as projects are launched: LAMDA Exams Newsletter
