FRENCH CINEMA IN LECCE A piece of French cinema in Salento. This could be the best definition for the Vive le Cinéma Festival, scheduled in Lecce from 14 to 18 September. The location is, not even to say so, the enchanting historic centre of the city, in the former convent of the Teatini, a stone's throw from Piazza Duomo. A bridge between French and Italian cinema, to strengthen the link between these two realities already demonstrated, among other things, by Dior's choice to make Lecce its stage for the presentation of the new collection. egroamaro Alezio Doc cultivated in the Li Cuti estate, in the countryside of Sannicola, owned by the Coppola family since 1489 and handed down from father to son. Li Cuti Rosso is a wine with an intense ruby red colour, a dry flavour and a vinous aroma. In 2013 and 2014 it was awarded a prize in the national competition "Douja d'Or" Asti in the category of DOC and DOCG wines. He was awarded by the Radici del Sud competition where he won the second prize in the Negroamaro category by the national jury and for two years at the Douja d'Or d'Asti.

Ingredients: 500gr of mixed peppers, breadcrumbs, capers, salt, vinegar, extra-virgin olive oil Cantina Coppola. Wash the peppers and cut them into coarse pieces. Prepare two frying pans with oil. Use one pan to fry the peppers and the other, adding a clove of garlic, use it to brown the breadcrumbs (to be added when the oil is hot) and stir always to avoid burning. After a few minutes add the peppers already fried and cook them for a few more minutes in the pan with the breadcrumbs. At the end add the capers and vinegar. A dish rich in flavor and ideal for summer, because it can spoil both hot and cold.

ince the enemies of the past did not only come from the sea, the hinterland also needed to defend itself and sight them early enough. In Lecce, in fact, there are some towers that once defended the city and are now an integral part of the modern urban network. One of these is Torre Belloluogo, whose construction dates back to the 14th century. The beauty of this tower is, besides its characteristics, also the park that surrounds it, an oasis of tranquillity to escape from the chaos of the city. The ideal place for a pleasant walk in the green after enjoying the beauties of the Baroque.
Events > Also in September the appointments with Spazi Culturali, the literary review organized by the Municipality of Gallipoli at the Municipal Library of the historical centre, near the municipal seat, continue. Two local authors will present their books: Luigi Liaci, with his pansieri mei, a collection of poems, and Maria Katja Raganto with her Come un faro nella notte. It starts at 8 pm.
