ROMAN THEATER REOPENS With the summer now underway, culture is also starting again. A historical place in Lecce, symbol of its important past, reopens to the public with due caution. We are talking about the ancient Roman theater, located in the heart of the historic center of Lecce, a few steps from the Duomo. It will be possible to take part in a thematic guided tour, organized by The Monuments People Aps, in agreement with the Soprintendenza, which will end with a visit to the theatre. Not a simple guided tour: there will also be theatrical readings to discover Lecce. Departure from piazza sant'Oronzo at 17:30, Saturday 4th July. TODAY IN HISTORY The Central Station was inaugurated in Milan 89 years ago, on July 1, 1931. The imposing structure replaced the previous one, no longer able to support the traffic. It is currently the second station in the country for passengers transited, after Roma Termini.

Salento IGT, takes its name from the noble and ancient descendants Patitari. A family that boasted illustrious men of letters and arms among its family members. Primitivo in purity aged in oak barrels. Intense ruby red, warm and aromatic scent, full flavor. It encloses all the Mediterranean nature of the territory; it is cultivated in the homonymous estate Patitari inside the Camping La Masseria. A sweet red but with character that is affected by the beneficial influence of the Ionian Sea.

Meat rolls with sauce
Ingredients: 500gr of slices, whole Parmesan cheese (or other seasoned cheese of your choice), tomato sauce, salt, pepper, extra-virgin olive oil Cantina Coppola Roll out the slices and put in the middle of each one a piece of whole Parmesan cheese (or the cheese you prefer), parsley, salt and pepper. Roll up the slices and close them with a wire or a toothpick. Cook them in a pan with oil. Sprinkle some white wine and let it evaporate. Finally, add the sauce and let it simmer for a little longer. The sauce will be very tasty and the meat tender. Ideal for Sunday.

Cantina Coppola Torre Suda is the only marina in the municipality of Racale. The resort has a predominantly rocky coast with a crystal clear sea where swimming is a real pleasure. The tower is of course a must to see and is part of the coastal defence system wanted by Charles V. High 13 meters and with an external stairs, the structure is surrounded by a square ideal for pleasant walks. There is a small church overlooking the sea dedicated to B.V. Maria Stella del Mare. The numerous villas in Moorish style testify the presence during the 20th century of the wealthy families of Racale, who spent their summer holidays here. Also this year it has been awarded with the Five Sails of Legambiente, an important recognition of the quality of the sea.
