About vIsions

Visions are a symbol of recognition from the gods which is given to the worthiest individuals in Teyvat. These visions are normally encased in a golden frame which represent the region they are from and has a spherical gem-like shape with the symbol of it’s respective element which can be either Pyro, Anemo, Electro, Hydro, Cryo, Geo or Dendro (fire, air, electricty, water, ice, rock and grass). They grant the holder the power of the element on the vision which then allows the holder to use the element at their will.

Holders of visions are called allogenes or in Japanese, Genshins (hence the name Genshin Impact). All of the playable characters in the game has visions except for archons which are the gods of these elements. Instead of visions, they carry a gnosis within their being which is basically the equivelent to a much more powerful vision (Genshin Impact fandom).

Barbra is the Deaconess of the Church of Favonious, a popular idol in Mondstat and also the younger sister of the acting grand master/dandelion knight, Jean. She got her vision by helping cure a young boy’s fever. At first, she wasn’t able to cure the boy’s fever using normal remidies. But suddenly, someone in the crowd suggested singing to help the poor boy, Barbra then sang for the first time ever. The next day, the boy’s fever was gone and she had gained a Hydro vision (Genshin Impact Fandom)

Qiqi was a young girl who by chance, got caught in the crossfire between the adepti and deamons. She was severly wounded and in her dying moments, she thought of her family and wondered, “If only I could freeze time, how wonderful could that be?” The adepti then noticed her lifelss body on the floor, they pitied that such an innocent soul died because of their action which then ended with her recieving a vision and coming back to life.

When she came back, she went beserk because of her lack of control of her adeptal energy. This resulted in her being sealed in amber. After hundreds of years, she returns to the land of teyvat and now roams the lands and a zombie known as Qiqi (kettletoro).
