PREFACE

The Asia & Oceania Motorcycle Technician Skill Contest is an important and valuable initiative designed event to recognize and reward the most outstanding Honda motorcycle technicians from across the Asia & Oceania region, to stimulate all technicians to achieve higher skill levels and to promote the various service programs of Customer Service activities.

Since the first contest in 2001, technicians have been provided with opportunities to demonstrate their outstanding skills, to share these skills with other technicians from Genpos and Distributors throughout the region and to absorb information about programs to enhance our customers’ satisfaction.

Organized by Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd, the contest is held every two years with the goal of continuous endeavor of Honda technicians. The ultimate beneficiaries are Honda’s customers who expect the very best technical service skills to maintain their motorcycles in first class condition.

As technician contest is set to be a challenging destination for all Asia & Oceania technicians, I hope the 8th Asia & Oceania Motorcycle Technician Contest 2024 will be an exciting and enjoyable contest and be learning opportunity for all technicians to fulfill their challenging spirits.

I hope after this, technicians will apply key learnings to CREATE quality of service, TRANSCEND customers’ worry, and AUGMENT opportunities to engage with customers.

CONTEST HISTORY

The temperature in December is generally around 25 to 30 degrees. Summer clothes are fine, but the air conditioning may be strong on airplanes, buses, hotelsand shoppingmalls. Precipitation is light, but it can continue for long periods, so rain gear is necessary.
