HelloFriends!

As we enjoy the longer, warmer days and the beauty of spring in the Pacific Northwest, we continue to stay focused on your needs.

The Chamber has been working hard to promote and support our business community ~ as it is especially vital that our local establishments have a successful year. The economy has brought new concerns to our business community, and we're dedicated to helping your business not only survive - but thrive

In addition to our regular programming and events that drive business to our local economy, the Chamber has stepped up to meet the unique challenges our member businesses are facing We have been and will continue to:

--increase our member marketing efforts in order to boost visibility and encourage local spending Take advantage of all the opportunities we provide Advertise in a number of the different mediums that are offered Become a sponsor In other words, “Show up for the dance!”

--provide regular communications via email and social media to let you know the status of all things that impact your bottom line

--offer quality information exchanges during regularly scheduled meetings to keep you up-todate.

--be your resource if you need loans or grants so that you know when and where monetary support is available.

--amplify your voice in communicating needs and challenges to local and state government administrations and partner with them to help access business resources.

We’re also creating a BOSS Roundtable: Business Owners Strategizing Success The sessions will invite a limited number of small business owners to brainstorm and discuss the unique challenges of day-to-day operations of running their organizations

We know you're busy Probably working harder with less staff So let the Chamber help Take advantage of all the "homework" we do for you and allow yourself to think big Our job is to help you succeed

So don't be a stranger We continue to serve our Members and the visiting public 7 days a week

Sincerely,

Monday:

In the summer of 1959, the Original House of Donuts was born with one goal ~ to make fresh handmade donuts from scratch everyday. 65 years later, the secret OHOD recipe has been perfected with millions served over the past 50 years. Grab a cup of Joe and you ’ re set! Now, if you ’ re a traditional, breakfast lover, there are two eateries we highly recommend...

Take a step into Burs Restaurant and experience classic American diner nostalgia. Since 1952, this family-owned restaurant has been the locals pick for generations. Over 72 years later, they are proud to continue the tradition of serving traditional comfort dishes to neighbors and friends. Or check out Carr's Restaurant that’s family-owned, with a friendly and attentive staff that goes the extra mile in carefully preparing each meal from scratch, with quality, fresh ingredients Bring your appetite and prepare yourselves the portions are huge!

Lakewold Gardens is a premier 10-acre historic garden estate, that features formal and natural settings Near the hustle and bustle of the city, you’ll step into the gardens~ and feel worlds away Nestled amidst lush English-inspired gardens and a rich woodland is the Georgian-style mansion which overlooks Gravelly Lake Community focused programming and events frequently occur at the Gardens, so be sure to check their website

South Tacoma Antique Mall boasts 55,000 square feet of display space and more than 150 dealers The lower floor is a rabbit's warren of dealer stalls, some no more than a few feet across, crammed with everything from kerosene lamps to records The upper floor is reserved for large furniture, such as bedsteads, chests and armoires, some of them in matched sets There's lots of crystal and crockery, some interesting political buttons and ephemera, and a lot of “keen junk” like old saws and brass oil cans The mall does appraisals and some dealers buy estates

All that walking and shopping calls for a refreshment break. Crave a Boba Drink? We’ve got quite a few on South Tacoma Way. Bubble Island is a favorite local hangout. Cool atmosphere. Foos ball. Chess. Open stage. Great drinks. Hi!BubbleTea serves traditional fruit tea and tapioca pearl bubble teas made with only natural ingredients, using fresh milk. All their drinks are prepared in front of you and can be customized with your own sweetness and ice preferences.
