Friends of the Lake (fol) COMMITTEE REPORT

FriendsofLakeLinganore@gmail.com Water Quality Update by Neal Spungen

The E. coli testing at Nightingale and Coldstream Beaches is now being performed on a daily basis until the end of the summer. Results and additional information can be found on the LLA website (Committees > Friends of the Lake > Test Results). During a tour of the lake on June 5th, Dr. Ferrier and two others from Hood College analyzed the lake water to determine what causes the algae growth. They used specialized test equipment to evaluate different chemicals in the water, as well as other aspects of the lake. We expect to have the results of their testing by the end of June. A special thank you to Cathie and Jim Reed who provided their boat for the trip. Interested in learning more about the lake water?
