Development & Marketing Internship Background Information Based at Nottingham Lakeside Arts, and open to recent graduates of The University of Nottingham, the Development and Marketing Intern will receive experience and training across a range of development (fundraising) and linked marketing skills. More specifically, training will be given in data analysis, individual giving (fundraising), campaign planning, audience development initiatives, liaison with suppliers, copy writing, public and media relations, digital and social media marketing. S/he will be involved in meetings, and will develop an understanding of the cultural ecology in Nottingham/East Midlands and nationally as part of the Building Resilience programme which Lakeside is participating in. They will receive training in the use of Tessitura Customer Relations and Marketing System, and gain an understanding of Data Protection legislation, and GDPR. They will support the launch of Lakeside’s new philanthropic giving programme. This is a perfect opportunity for someone with excellent people and communication skills, an interest in fundraising through audience development, and an understanding of social media, copywriting skills, and database skills, who has a passion to work in arts marketing & development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: General Administration and Finance Establish and maintain excellent communications with Lakeside team, specifically in marketing and External Relations Ensure effective record keeping of all correspondence on line and/or hard copy as required with a view to preparation of reports to senior management, Building Resilience programme etc Secure quotes for print as required through Sciquest/design on occasion as required adhering to University Procurement procedures at all times Undertake day to day administrative tasks in relation to role including photocopying/scanning, dealing with telephone and online enquiries Provide effective operational support for relevant aspects of Lakeside’s programme including: Scheduling meetings as required by Marketing Manager Arranging venues and hospitality where required Preparing agendas and circulating papers in advance of meetings Minuting meetings where necessary Philanthropic Campaign planning and support Contribute to campaign planning for the philanthropic giving campaign, and other linked activities as required Proof read copy, and ensure use of appropriate logos and acknowledgements on all relevant print and web materials, liaising with companies/artists as required for copy sign-off
