CLUB UPDATE Dear Members, Thank you to everyone for making July yet another month of well-attended programming at the Club. The month started with our Star-Spangled Splash Fourth of July celebration with families and friends enjoying the pool and lake, music, children's activities, and a holiday BBQ buffet. Trivia Night attracted a lively group who won great prizes! Members continue commenting on how wonderful the food was at both Italiano! and the Catena Wine Dinner, where the culinary team created a truly memorable dining experience with tableside presentations of Argentinian-inspired cuisine. Lastly, at the time of this letter, we anticipate a fantastic turnout for the Hawaiian Luau Family Night with outstanding food, hula dancers, and children’s activities set to a picturesque Lake Nona sunset. Our team continues to plan a full calendar of engaging events for all interests, therefore, I encourage you to mark your calendars for these upcoming events scheduled for August: • Sunday Splash (August 7, 21 & 28 )

I want to recognize and thank our Youth Activities Manager Nicole Eastman and her team of Nona Crew camp counselors for their collective efforts engaging our campers week after week with memorable summer fun and adventures. I am please to share that all four weeks of camp were fully committed with record attendance for the second staright year! Be on the lookout for exciting Nona Crew programming, along with family favorites, to enjoy this fall. In golf news, our new Par 3 course was well-received in its debut last month. Available on Thursday afternoons starting at 2:30 p.m., the course is designed for fun and inclusion and I encourage you to come out to enjoy the short course format. August 22 - 25 marks our third and final aerification closure, which has been shortened to four days, enabling us to re-open the golf course for weekend play. The driving range will remain open with modified hours (8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.) during the aerification. Thank you for your understanding and patience during the closure, and I encourage you to please reach out to the Professional Shop for assistance in scheduling to tee times at local, private courses we have partnered with for reciprocal playing privileges. Working closely with the leadership team, we have identified our overarching “why/purpose” - to continue to elevate Lake Nona Golf & Country Club through our gracious and caring service, amenities and facilities, programming, and events, while simultaneously creating a healthy work place for our team through effective onboarding, continuous training and education, recognition and appreciation in a caring and structured environment. With that in mind, the team is actively engaged in planning and preparing for the upcoming season, by developing departmental goals and objectives, enhanced programming and activities, employee relations and recognition. As we progress, these are the conditions and attributes that will guide our team in the journey towards enriching Lake Nona Golf & Country Club's overall member experience. Michael Rosa and I would like to thank you all for your continued support and warm welcome, as it was great seeing those who joined us for the Leadership Welcome Reception last month. Your feedback is always welcomed and encouraged, and I look forward to seeing you at the Club. Sincerely,
Brian Pizzimenti, CCM General Manager

GOLF NEWS Despite July being a hot month with nearly seven inches of rain, Lake Nona's expertly maintained course continued to provide great golf conditions. Kudos to Brandon, Nick, Taylor and the entire golf course maintenance team for ensuring such great playing surfaces for our golfing enjoyment. The upcoming month brings renewed excitement in our new Par 3 course, designed to add a different dynamic to our practice facilities, which was very well received by everyone who played during its debut last month. The Professional Shop will begin holding a weekly winner-takes-all sweep for the lowest score, with an optional $10 buy-in. If you haven't had the opportunity to experience this new addition, I encourage you to join us on the driving range on Thursday afternoons. Additionally this month, I am pleased to reinstate The Jamieson, our monthly men's tournament. This budding event is on track to become a fantastic Club tradition and presents a great opportunity to host a guest for an all-inclusive experience. We look forward to having you join us and growing this event. Last month's professional golf major championships provided great entertainment on the Tours with notable performances by several Lake Nona Members. Tyrrell Hatton placed a commendable T-11 at the historic 150th Open Championship held at The Old Course at St. Andrews. Lydia Ko set pulses racing at the Amundi Evian Championship - firing a superb final round 66 (-5) to narrowly

(August 4 - 7). Best of luck to all of our touring professionals who are taking part! With the professional golf major championship season coming to an end this month, it is time for us to be looking forward to our upcoming Club tournament season, which gets underway in October. I encourage you to review the linear golf calendar available on the member website (VIEW LINEAR CALENDAR), as it is currently published through 2023 and is an excellent way for you plan ahead. The golf operations team is diligently working on tournament preparations for the upcoming season and are excited to incorporate some adjustments to create more enjoyable events. More information will be forthcoming in the months ahead. Enjoy the rest of your summer and we look for forward to seeing you around the Club.

COURSE NEWS Moving into August, I am pleased to report that the golf course management team has the course in phenomenal condition. Our first two summer maintenance closures were very successful, allowing us to execute all the critical aerification tasks, including several key improvement projects. Some of the improvements were needed to allow more sunlight to the turf in order to grow better grass, while a few of the other projects cleaned up untidy peripheral areas, all of which are intended to enhance your playing experience. We have also continued with our landscape enhancement plan by planting more native plant material around the course with another round of flowering trees coming soon. August will be an exciting month for golf course maintenance. First, our third and final aerification closure has been shortened to only four days, enabling us to re-open the golf course on Friday, August 26 to enjoy during the weekend. Since we have been able to front-load our summer maintenance schedule with aggressive practices on our greens, for this closure, we will only be utilizing the sand injection process which should have the greens in playable shape very quickly. The other exciting news is that we are able to start our north driving range renovation. As a reminder, this capital enhancement project will focus on rebuilding the putting green, resulting in a larger, more
functional amenity that all Members are welcome to utilize, as well as expanding the Professional Members’ tee. The image below outlines the project’s intended design. The Club’s driving range will
b ri ch ey@la ke n o n a .com
not be affected and will continue normal operations during this project. We have already removed

landscape to allow us to reposition the newly designed green in the back corner while renovating the teeing grounds with a new variety of Bermudagrass called Bimini. This grass shows great resilience to cool and shady weather and a very dense and upright growth, creating what should be a great hitting surface. We expect to have the majority of the dirt work executed by the end of the month, with the intention to grass the area around Labor Day and be able to re-open the area towards the end of October. Stay tuned for future club communication regarding the project. As always, our dedicated team is proud to cultivate Lake Nona’s beautiful course and grounds. Thank you for your consistent support and we look forward to seeing you out on the course.
