OVER $600,000* IN SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS AVAILABLE Scholarships are one way you can reduce the cost of college. Unlike student loans, scholarships do not need to be paid back. Awards are based on criteria such as academic merit, financial need, talents or interests, or major field of study. Read below to learn more about scholarship opportunities at Lake Michigan College as well as other scholarship funding sources.

Lake Michigan College Scholarships

Lake Michigan College offers scholarships to prospective and current students through the Lake Michigan College Foundation, the college’s institutional scholarship fund, and the Lake Michigan College Athletics Department.

FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Over 120 Lake Michigan College Foundation scholarships totaling $400,000* are available to students through generous donations from private and public donors.

INSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Lake Michigan College has over $200,000* in institutional scholarship funds available, including the Presidential Scholarship and the Board of Trustees Scholarship.

HOW TO APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS 1. Complete the LMC scholarship application at lakemichigancollege.edu/scholarships.

2. Submit your high school transcripts and ACT/SAT test scores.

3. If applicable, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.ed.gov by March 1 for fall scholarship consideration. Our school code is 002277.

4. Check your LMC WaveLink account to see if you have been awarded scholarship funds.

5. Complete the required steps to receive your scholarship award.

Note: Athletics scholarships are awarded directly by individual athletics programs. If you are a student athlete and have received an athletic scholarship, you may also apply for other LMC scholarships through the steps listed above.

Academic Mathematics Scholarship

B & B Molders Endowed Scholarship*

• Residency: Lakeshore, St. Joseph, or Benton Harbor • Qualifying GPA: 3.0; must maintain for renewal • Current high school graduate entering college for the first time • Demonstrate financial need • Enroll full-time at LMC • Declared music major • Letter of recommendation from high school music director and/or private lesson instructor • Complete a competitive audition

• Successful completion of Calculus I at LMC with earned grade of A • Earned grade of A in each prerequisite math course to qualify for award at the next level of mathematics • No FAFSA needed; awarded by Financial Aid office to qualifying students
