Artists’ Corner

Come create a dragon, unicorn, or other fantastical creature using recycled materials, plaster and your imagination! We will do a deep dive into using paper, tape, foil, wire, recycled materials and plaster to create items from our imagination, or maybe even just a replica of your favorite pet! Be prepared to get messy! Save your recycled water bottles or paper towel holders to bring with you the first day of camp! Campers will walk away with 2-3 sculptural creations.

Creativity abounds in this art camp for beginning artists inspired by the best selling book, Art Play. Campers will gain experience with many different types of art materials as they draw, paint, and scribble their way through a variety of art projects. Campers will learn basic art elements they will develop their artistic voices while creating maze patterns, inventing their own language made of shapes, and even blow paint onto surfaces for dramatic effect. It’s not an adventure, it’s an artventure.
