TOLKIEN’S MIDDLE EARTH

J.R.R. Tolkien created a vast fantasy realm with amazing depth and a rich history that has fascinated readers for decades. With the hit Rings of Power series hitting screens near you this year, it’s the perfect time to learn more about Middle Earth! Students will learn the rich history and back‐story of Tolkien’s fantasy world with readings from The Silmarillion, The History of Middle Earth, and other texts that will add to a deeper understanding of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

WHAT IF? STORYTELLING WITH A TWIST!

Campers will consider some unique hypothetical “What if” questions that will stretch their imaginations and lend themselves to some interesting story-telling opportunities and hands-on activities. What if you could create your own holiday? What if you could turn into a superhero with superpowers? What if you could be invisible for day? What if one of your toys were to come alive? If you could make your own movie? Imagining what’s possible can be so much fun!
