




Recreation activities, programs and classes scheduled by Lake Highlands North Recreation Center staff hold FIRST priority status in center scheduling. Rental requests require final approval from Center Supervisor.

MISSION:
Space cannot be rented during normal operating hours for conducting POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS or FUND RAISING activities.
Rental fees are the same for residents and non-residents
Deposit fees are returned if the facility is left in a clean and orderly condition and the applicant has met all terms and conditions of the reservation. Applicants cancelling their reservation will notify the individual recreation center and will be subject to the following:
Cancellation 90 or more days from the reservation date will forfeit the applicable deposit
Cancellations between 60 and 90 days from reservation date will forfeit ½ of the rental fees and the applicable deposit
Cancellation within 30 days of reservation date forfeits all fees and deposits.
Room reservations must be made for a minimum of 1 hour increments. Extended Service Hour (After-hour) reservations must be made for a minimum of 4 hours.
Hourly rentals INCLUDE the necessary time required for room set-up and clean up. Set-up and clean-up are the responsibility of the group or individual reserving the facility.
The Lessee must be present before guest, individuals or contractors will be permitted in the rental space. No one will not be allowed in the building prior to start time or after the rental end time. Storage of equipment is not permitted. Commercial bounce houses are not permitted. Rentals include limited tables and chairs. Lessee acknowledges it is his or her responsibility to provide any equipment necessary for the reservation and the department has made no provision for providing necessary equipment for the purpose of this reservation. Please check with the individual recreation center for the number of tables and chairs available. Reservations for rooms are only accepted by persons 21 years of age or older.
The Lessee will be responsible for the conduct of all participants. All equipment and all persons identified with the reservation will strictly comply with all federal, state, local and Park and Recreation regulations.
Applicant granted room or gym reservation agrees to abide by the following:
Permit no beer, liquor or gambling inside or outside the building.
Pay the cost of repairing any damage to property or equipment as a result of using the facility. Cost determined by the Park and Recreation Department.
Invite no more guests than the established capacity for the room.
Leave the room in and orderly condition. If the Kitchen is used all appliances must be cleaned. Room must be swept and mopped accordingly. All supplies and materials brought into the room must be removed along with trash at the end of the reservation. The Park and Recreation Board or designated representative has the right to cancel any room reservation.
Failure to comply with the procedures in the policy or any damages to city property will result in denial of room reservation in the future or legal action taken by the City Attorney’s Office.
