But look, you made it “But look, you made it” Mama, I did not make it. The little girl inside of me did not make it. I left me in the dust for dead My shell, my body, my twisted smile and blind eyes made it. Mama, The real smiles, soft sleep and the stomach-clenching laughter did not make it. The faith in humanity, real dreams and the fairy tails did not make it You said stay alive and I heard keep your heart beating even if it means you have to kill your mind. And I think you wanted me to do Something in between the two But I have never found a happy medium for both of us I am either all here or all gone

I am either all happy or completely torn I am either too much or nothing at all And I have picked to worse option My heart is beating, But my brain gets no oxygen
