Candidate forum
Hear what the four Poway City Council candidates have to say about city issues at a forum 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27 at the Poway Senior Center, 13094 Civic Center Drive. This coming weekend will be full of Poway Days events, ranging from western reenactments and a large street fair to a trail ride and theater performances.

“Rendezvous in Poway” Visitors to Old Poway Park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will travel back to the Old West during the annual “Rendezvous in Poway” celebration. The popular free event is put on by the City of Poway along with the Shadow River Regulators, Cimarron Ridge Old West Productions and the Apache Canyon Gang. ‘Rendezvous,’ big street fair this weekend

Phyllis Pfeiffer has been named publisher of the Poway News Chieftain, replacing Jeff Mitchell who is assuming the publisher role of the Santa Cruz Good Times. At the same time, Debbie Keller, advertising director of the News Chieftain, has been promoted to general manager and will be responsible for day-to-day management of the business operations.
