BREAKFAST CLUB

Our ‘Breakfast Club’ is open to all students every morning from Monday to Friday. We have created a safe and welcoming environment that will help you to mentally prepare for the school day. It is the perfect opportunity for you to socialise with other students.

Orchestra Club regularly performs at school events, including concerts and special community celebrations, giving you the chance to showcase your talent and experience the joy of live performance.

If you enjoy singing and want to be part of a friendly, supportive group, Choir Club is the perfect place for you. Whether you’re a beginner or have experience, you’ll have the chance to develop your vocal skills, learn new songs, and perform as part of an ensemble.

Members of the choir regularly perform at special events such as the Pensioners’ Party and the end-of-year shows, giving you exciting opportunities to showcase your talents and be part of memorable community celebrations.

Meet regularly to rehearse a variety of music styles, build confidence, and enjoy the joy of making music with others. Choir Club is a great way to express yourself, meet new friends, and be part of the school’s vibrant creative community.

Experience the art of cinema in a whole new way! At Cinema Club, students will explore the magic and meaning of movies — with a special focus on historical fiction. You'll watch an incredible film, uncover its historical context, and analyse how accurately it portrays real events. But that’s just the beginning — you’ll also critique, debate, and even create your own mini film-inspired projects.

Whether you're passionate about filmmaking, fascinated by history, or simply love great stories, this club is your backstage pass to the world of cinema.

Step into the world of adventure and design with the Dungeons & Dragons Design Club!

You’ll get to design and build your own custom dice towers, which will be expertly laser-cut and ready for you to paint and decorate however you like. These towers will make your games more exciting and personal than ever before.

If there’s enough interest, we have plans to extend the club to a later term where you’ll take on creating amazing terrain, develop unique characters, and even play in a full D&D campaign using all the items you’ve crafted. This is your chance to combine creativity, teamwork, and epic storytelling!

"‘Book Club’ is a club for those who want to share their passion for reading with others. Reading is a wonderful hobby, which can transport your mind into a whole other reality. I came to Book Club and felt the same ethereal sensation. However, the best thing about the club is that it ranges from so many different and diverse genres, making it something enjoyable for everyone and letting people explore new styles.

CODING CLUB

Coding Club is your chance to explore real programming skills using tools like Python, HTML & CSS, Scratch, Microbits, and LEGO Mindstorms. You’ll learn how to think like a programmer, solve problems, and build your own digital projects – all in a fun, friendly environment.

HOMEWORK CLUB

At ‘Homework Club’, we provide the resources, space and staff needed to complete all types of homework, available every afternoon in the school’s Independent Learning Centre. We aim to provide a comfortable learning environment to help you consolidate your learning, practise subject-specific skills, and support you with your own personal development.

DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a life-changing experience – a chance to have fun with friends, discover new talents, and develop valuable life skills. It’s a recognised mark of achievement, respected by colleges, universities, and employers alike.

At Bronze level, you’ll complete four sections: volunteering to support your community or the environment, taking part in a physical activity to improve your fitness, learning a new skill, and planning, training for, and completing an adventurous expedition.

The DofE is open to all young people, regardless of background, gender, or ability. It’s not a competition – it’s about setting your own goals, rising to new challenges, and building confidence along the way.

As you progress, you’ll develop essential life and work skills such as teamwork, communication, resilience, and problem-solving – all of which will help boost your CV, university applications, and future career opportunities.

Attending ‘Drama Club’ builds my confidence and allows me to socialise with other people who love to act. I am really looking forward to performing in the school’s end of year production!

Going to the school gym really helps with many aspects of my life: I have gained confidence, it has improved my skills in sports, it has helped me stay concentrated in lessons, and it helps keeps me fit. I always feel fresher and healthier after a session at the gym.

I have met a lot of interesting people at the club I attend and have made a lot of new friends who share similar interests. I like to craft and paint, and love working on group projects!

Strengthen your body and muscle, improve your health, manage your weight, and boost your energy and mood by using the fantastic equipment (including the treadmill, rowing machine and exercise bike) at ‘Pulse Fitness’. Further Maths for Year 11 is a unique opportunity for high-achieving students who want to stretch their thinking, deepen their understanding, and experience the challenge of maths beyond the standard curriculum. Through engaging, higher-level topics and problem-solving activities, this course will build your confidence, sharpen your logic, and prepare you for future success in A-Level Maths and beyond. Topics covered include calculus and matrices.

Selected students will explore the beauty of advanced mathematics, develop key skills in reasoning and analysis, and challenge yourself in ways that ordinary lessons can’t offer.

Axiom Maths is just one of the ways we aim to nurture excellence and provide meaningful stretch and challenge for our students. Follow recipes, experiment with decorations, and share your tasty creations. It’s the perfect way to get hands-on learning outside the classroom — and enjoy some yummy rewards! Get ready to mix, measure, and make this holiday season.

Please note, there are only 15 places available for this club per week, and a contribution towards ingredients is required (to be confirmed after half term). This can be paid via ParentPay when your place is confirmed.
