“THIS PROJECT WAS DESIGNED TO REACH OUT TO THE WORLD”
Our Mission

Our Vision
To make the La Granja Method© of emotional training available everywhere by opening La Granja Ability Training Center franchise a liates worldwide.

WHO ARE WE AND WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
La Granja is a global thought leader and proactive advocate in the rapidly burgeoning but vastly under-served eld of emotional training. The global market opportunity is projected to nearly triple in size from US $2 billion in 2021 to US $5.6 billion in just ve (5) years in 2026. (Source: ResearchAndMarkets.com).
La Granja is a unique concept in education, a nurturing world surrounded by nature, horses and other domesticated animals, in which emotional training has become a very powerful educational tool. Our Method© has been registered as intellectual property and scienti cally tested*. It is based on practical application in training the emotional competencies of children, teenagers and adults.
La Granja was founded in 1984 as a farm camp experience near Barcelona, Spain, where school children could come close to nature and farm animals, and learn to respect their natural environment. In fact, this is the origin of our brand “La Granja” which translates from the Spanish and Catalan languages to “The Farm”.
Our experience working primarily with schools enabled us to observe the prevalence of emotional shortcomings in children visiting our facilities, as well as the void of programs in traditional education and institutions to address these essential needs. We realized that it was our social responsibility to address these needs of children and teenagers.

In 2004 we began to train the personal and social abilities and competencies of students, becoming the rst “Ability Training Center” in Spain. Today, with training centers in Barcelona and Madrid, and more in the opening process, we are dedicated to bringing the world of nature, horses and other animals to students worldwide; to train their emotional competencies with activities and adventure circuits using the La Granja Method©, a registered method whose results have been scienti cally proven.
Over 24,000 children visit our facilities every year in Barcelona alone. This includes numerous classrooms of students from schools that enjoy single or multiple day visits during the school year, as well as youth organizations and families who attend our summer camps.

The results for the children have been notably impressive while professionally rewarding for our sta . We have not only managed to capture the children’s attention and modulate their attitudes, but also a ected signi cant long-lasting changes. Our success is largely due to our ideas based on “looking and seeing”, that everything we do as human beings has a purpose, and our proprietary educational Method that makes the child the true center of an educational experience that is both practical and signi cant. Our Method is led and supported by a well-prepared onsite team that are all trained in emotional education, even our kitchen and cleaning sta .
Today, our training is also for adults. School teachers, university professors, college students, families, businesses and even a world famous professional soccer organization visit us every year to train their emotional competencies stemming from the direct experience and practice of emotional education.
* Scientific study of the La Granja Method performed by the GROP from the University of Barcelona (November 2017) that shows a significant increase in the five (5) emotional competences, and a decrease in levels of stress and anxiety in a sample of 140 children and teenagers.
SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATION OF THE LA GRANJA METHOD
Our study “Innovation in Emotional Education in Educational leisure: the La Granja Method” has been published in the Revista de Investigación Educativa, 38(2), 495-513. LA GRANJA METHOD© AN ACCELERATOR OF COMPETENCIES
The aim of the La Granja Method© is to train the emotional competencies of students, both young and old, and the best way to do so is by Outdoor Training or Team Building activities, due to their great impact and the ease with which they serve to move or thrill people of all age groups.
Every activity is designed with a speci c purpose in mind. In order to motivate we seek to provoke the feeling of happiness which is the most powerful of all human feelings, by introducing continual challenges and positive stimuli.
• To promote our Method© and achieve results faster we use high performance as designed in the program and the focus of our Emotional Educators on “here and now”.
• Through the art of asking questions we get students to become conscious of that which is unconscious, and feedback helps them to anchor what they have learned.
• The use of metaphors allows us to work from our unconscious and give meaning to what takes place during each activity; these transferences allow us to translate what we have learned to everyday life, both at home and in the classroom.
• And nally, nature and animals provide a calming e ect on the participants, to disengage them for a while from the rush of everyday life.
7 La Granja E X P A N D S _ expand@lagranjatc.com _ www.lagranjatc.com
The Method© has been applied to over 24,000 students every year since 2008 and is based on the theoretical framework of the ve emotional competencies proposed by Rafael Bisquerra (Bisquerra and Pérez 2007) from the University of Barcelona, a highly regarded and important university in Spain. These competencies are:
(1) Self - Awareness
(2) Self – Management
(3) Responsible Decision Making
(4) Social Awareness
(5) Relationship Skills
The results of the La Granja Method© have been scienti cally evaluated and proven as previously noted.

ANDORRA CENTER
La Granja Andorra opened in 2022 according to the La Granja License A liate format. This business model facilitates the development of the La Granja activities and business in a previously established, host business and campus facility. In this case, the La Granja activities are provided by Naturland, a mountain based, outdoor sports camp with a private hostel facility high in the Pyrenees mountains.
Naturland’s origins stem from a winter sports-oriented training and competition facility on nearly 2000 mountainous acres at two di erent altitudes; at one-mile and at 1.2 miles. The facility evolved to o er cross-country skiing, toboggan runs, and a shooting range. In addition to o ering standard La Granja emotional training programs, emotional skills training such as teamwork, courage and empathy have been consolidated into cross-country skiing lessons.
