Jimmy G. Herring '70

Longtime college Registrar Jimmy G. Herring ’70 passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025.

Jimmy served LC faithfully for 39 years, retiring in 2013. His significant contributions include leading the effort to modernize college record-keeping by computerizing data on campus.

Outside of his professional life, Jimmy enjoyed playing golf and was a proud member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He is survived by his son, Chris ’95.
