LaGrange College Columns, Spring 2025

In January, the Troup County School System named Kathey Sandiford M’23, a fifth-grade writing teacher at Long Cane Elementary School, as one of three finalists for the 2025 district-level Teacher of the Year. She was the Elementary Teacher of the Year honoree. Sandiford has taught in the classroom for four years. Her son, Todd, is a 2024 alumnus of LaGrange College. The district winner was announced by TCSS Superintendent Dr. Rachel Hazel at a reception for all the school-level winners in March at the Oakfuskee Conservation Center.
