Christ is centered every day at our schools. Guided by His teachings, our educators imbue a Catholic worldview into their daily lessons. Our students attend Mass weekly, participate in the sacraments, andhavedailytheologyclasses.
Our highly-qualified staff focuses on educating the whole child. We invite our students to discover who God calls them to be. We are here to supplement the values and work ethic you're enforcing at home. Each student’s path will be different, but with individual care and attention, our students graduate prepared for life. An LCSS education teaches critical thinking, how to approach a search fortruth, andhowtocreatealifethatisintentionalandpurposeful.
We see our students succeed, and we celebrate those successes. When our students move on to college, many of them finish within four years with little to no remediation needed. We love to see our alumni make their way into the world with a firm faith foundation, the knowledge to be successfulincollegeandbeyond, thedrivetopersevere, andcompassionfortheirfellowcitizens.
From preschool to 12th grade, the Lafayette Catholic School System is committed to educating our students to be their best selves. By the time a student graduates from Central Catholic, that student is prepared to face the world with confidence. Our Knights head into adulthood with a strong shield of faith, an armor of knowledge, and a league of support from their alma mater.

Our kindergarteners thrive in a safe, enriching program. “I love meeting each child where they are academically and emotionally while bringing them to a place that develops not only their education, but their relationship with our Savior,” said St. Lawrence kindergarten teacher Mrs. Allison Gastineau. Their growth from the first day of school to the last is a gift to witness.
Beginning skills are formed through the Superkids series which blends phonics-based reading, spelling, and writing. Miss Katie Demerly, St. Mary kindergarten teacher said, “What I love most about teaching is when a Kindergarten student starts to read on their own. Their smile is so big after they realized they read a word or two on their own for the first time!”
Students attend weekly Mass and learn about the lives of saints, prayers, and read stories with our parish priests.
Fly Away Butterfly: Miss Demerly’s class witnessed the life cycle of the butterfly and were thrilled to release them and watch them fly away. Faith Formation: Father John Nguyen guides the St. Lawrence kindergarteners through the Stations of the Cross during Lent.
Each week kindergarteners receive classes in art, PE, music, technology, and go to the school library. They learn how to be a good friend in weekly guidance classes.
