CEMENT
Cement is a hydraulic binder and the basic ingredient of concretes and mortars. It acts as a kind of glue to stick sand and gravel together. Our cement business line produces a wide range of cements, hydraulic binders and limes for construction, renovation and public works.

CONCRETE
Concrete is a carefully balanced mix of cement, aggregates, and water. Lafarge is one of the few full-service concrete producers capable of manufacturing an extremely wide range of concrete.
Our portfolio includes products ranging from standard concrete, used in everyday driveways and sidewalks, to customized mixes used in complex high-rises that must meet strict design specifications. It also includes ECOPact®, our range of sustainable concrete that offers up to 90% reduction in carbon emissions, and our proprietary technology, Chronolia™, which lets users strip a wall form just a few hours after the concrete arrives on the jobsite. AGGREGATES
Lafarge’s aggregates product line offers a full range of crushed rock, stone, sand, and gravel for the civil, commercial, residential, and industrial construction sectors.
Our products are used in many applications, including ready-mix and precast concrete, asphalt, and as a base material for street and road construction.
Aggregates are also used as railway ballast, as fill material, and as playingfield surfaces, such as in golf course sand traps and horse racing tracks. Along with a complete product selection, Lafarge aggregates offers services including product delivery, technical support, and local industry expertise. Aggregates are essential for the production of concrete and are the most consumed natural substance in the world.
PRECAST
Lafarge offers a variety of precast concrete solutions that are ideal for warehouses, manufacturing plants, schools, retail, office buildings, recreational facilities, hotels, motels, residences, parking garages, bridges and infrastructure, and virtually any other application that calls for strength, beauty, and fast-track construction. PIPE
Lafarge is a leading producer of precast concrete pipe and manholes in Western Canada for storm drainage, sanitary sewers, culverts, and stormwater treatment. Lafarge Pipe designs and manufactures a wide range of precast underground infrastructure components, including:

DUCTAL
Ductal® is a family of Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) products with a unique combination of properties including strength, ductility, durability, and aesthetic design flexibility. Blended with high carbon metallic or poly-vinyl alcohol (PVA) fibers, it is extremely moldable and replicates form materials with great precision. Elements can have thinner sections, complex and/or curved shapes with longer spans that are lighter, more graceful and innovative in geometry and form (compared to conventional concrete), with improved durability and impermeability against corrosion, abrasion and impact.
Advantages may include: reduced global construction costs, formworks, labour and maintenance; relating to improved site construction safety, speed of construction and extended usage life. Due to its unrivaled resistance properties and innovative deployment technologies, Ductal® gives architects and designers free reign for their creativity: pure, elegant mineral forms are now possible, as is the essential complexity of multi-functional elements, without compromising aesthetics.
ASPHALT
Lafarge is a leader in the production of Hot-Mix Asphalt (HMA) as well as other complementary valueadded products and solutions to meet the demand of unique paving challenges. HMA consists of a mixture of aggregates and an asphalt binder. In HMA, gradation helps determine almost every important property, including stiffness, stability, durability, permeability, workability, fatigue resistance, frictional resistance, and resistance to moisture damage. Within Lafarge’s network of asphalt plants, high-quality, innovative asphalts are produced using the latest processing technology.

PAVING
Lafarge provides tailored pavement solutions that generate extraordinary value for customers.
