When it comes time to try something new, like featuring an article you’ve written, having it be half YouTube presentation and half your article as if it were on paper seems a novel idea.

First off, the best sign of all to see when you are looking for a job is a “We’re Hiring” sign.

At this point, you might be asking yourself if you are qualified for the job. There might be a requirement that you are not able to meet.
Do not despair. You need a job and the company needs someone to do that job. The problem of you not meeting a qualification is not always a problem.
You can learn. That is the important thing to keep in mind.

You’ve gotten this far in life. You have nothing to worry about.

All you need is confidence. I know that qualifications do not really matter. What matters is that you make a good first impression. If an employer “sees” something in you, you can bet whatever qualifications stand between you and the job will either be forgotten or you can be hired on a provisional basis.

Of course, there are a few no-brainers you need to remember. You need to remember to always, without fail, show up at work on time. Another thing is that you must be ready to work once you are in the door.

Once you have a job there are going to be other people you will be working with. Eventually, they might become friends, but always, first they are your co-workers.

There are rules to follow with co-workers. First, you cannot be mean. You cannot say nasty things about anybody. Don’t gossip. Just do your job. If a person has been assigned to help you learn the ropes, take notes. It shows that person you are interested.

Another thing to remember when learning your job is never, ever ask the person who is training you for secrets about the people you work with.

For instance, don’t ask if anybody is breaking the rules. Of course, there will be people breaking the rules, and with time, you will learn who it is. But to ask about something like that straight off the bat? No, do not do that.
The person who hired you is going to ask the person who is teaching you what they think.
