La presentación de la penúltima edición de LAS DALIAS IBIZA MAGAZINE fue acogida con entusiasmo por los lectores y amigos de nuestra gran familia. Al acto acudieron artesanos, anunciantes, empresarios y autoridades políticas, con el presidente del Consell Insular d’Eivissa, Vicent Serra, a la cabeza. El concejal de Sant Carles, Salvador Losa, y la consellera de Turismo del Consell Insular d’Eivissa, Carmen Ferrer, también expresaron en sus intervenciones su agradecimiento a Las Dalias por llevar la imagen de Ibiza por todo el mundo. LAS DALIAS IBIZA MAGAZINE, que alcanza en 2013 su cuarta edición, giró el año pasado en torno a esa generación de hippies que trajeron a Ibiza nuevos aires de libertad, música, color y amor. El director de la revista, Jesús Turel, recalcó que aquellos años 60 y 70 “revolucionaron felizmente nuestras vidas”. La revista “es nuestro pequeño homenaje a aquellos jóvenes que nos transmitieron una imagen de Ibiza como un sueño realizable que nos sedujo para siempre”. En opinión de Turel, “la herencia de los hippies es posiblemente el pilar más sólido en el que se sustenta en la actualidad la imagen de Ibiza: la de una isla multicultural, de libertad y respeto, de amor a la música y el arte, que disfruta de la naturaleza y que considera que la creatividad es la base del progreso”. Joan Marí, Juanito, expresó su agradecimiento a las personalidades de la vida política que asistieron al acto: “Nunca Las Dalias se había sentido tan arropada por las instituciones como ahora”. Asimismo, dio las gracias a las empresas que invierten cada año en nuestros proyectos, a los vecinos de Sant Carles y a todos los artistas, músicos y artesanos de la familia de Las Dalias, “el corazón del mercadillo”.

The presentation of the second last edition of LAS DALIAS IBIZA MAGAZINE was seized on with enthusiasm by readers and friends
of our great family. It was attended by craftsmen, advertisers, business people and political authorities, with the President of Eivissa Insular Council, Vicent Serra, at the head. The Councillor for Sant Carles, Salvador Losa, and the Councillor for Tourism of the Eivissa Insular Council, Carmen Ferrer, also used their interventions to express their thanks to Las Dalias for taking the image of Ibiza all over the world. Last year, the LAS DALIAS IBIZA MAGAZINE, which in 2013 reached its fourth edition, focused on all that generation of hippies who brought to Ibiza new airs of freedom, music, colour and love. The magazine’s editor, Jesús Turel, emphasised that these years, the 1960s and 1970s “revolutionised our lives, in a good sense”. The magazine “is our modest tribute to the young people who conveyed to us an image of Ibiza as an accessible dream, which seduced us forever”. In Turel’s view, “the heritage of the hippies is possibly the soundest pillar on which today’s image of Ibiza rests: a multicultural island of freedom and respect, love for music and art, which enjoys nature and considers that creativity is the basis of progress”. Joan Marí, Juanito, expressed his thanks to the political figures who attended the event: “Las Dalias has never felt so supported by the institutions as now”. He also thanked the companies which invest in our projects every year, Sant Carles residents, and all the artists, musicians and craftsmen in the Las Dalias family, “the heart of the market”.
