GRACIAS A LA VIDA DE LAS DALIAS

El poder del agradecimiento reúne a la gran familia de Las Dalias cada año para concluir la temporada y retornar a la tierra el beneficio de la comunidad compartida

La voz grave de María Valdivia, la mujer medicina de Las Dalias, entona al sol, tabaco en boca, una oración espontánea al cielo y sus partes infinitas, a la tierra y sus raíces profundas. Pide a los presentes que conecten sus pies con la Pachamama, y que dejen que su piel se exponga a la luz que brilla. Así comienza cada año el cariñoso Family Day de Las Dalias, la jornada de agradecimiento por excelencia con la que se despide cada temporada de arduo trabajo y comunidad en el mercadillo, una vez termina el verano.

CIELO Y A SUS PARTES INFINITAS, A LA TIERRA Y A SUS RAÍCES PROFUNDAS

Sobre el mismo suelo donde se instalan los puestos y que transitan miles de personas durante los meses de verano, comerciantes, trabajadores, invitados y toda la familia de Las Dalias se reúne en otoño para retornar su gratitud a la tierra de forma mutua y recíproca. Es una ceremonia esencial, donde los cánticos retumban en las entrañas de quienes honran este ritual con su presencia. Frutas como la lima, cereales como el arroz, plantas como el tabaco y licores como el vino caen en un hoyo arrojados en forma de rico pago a la tierra de Las Dalias.

Cada otoño esta ceremonia favorece el reequilibrio comunitario de Las Dalias. Lo que empieza con un ritual espiritual continúa en forma de celebración en los jardines del mercadillo con música, comida y fiesta durante toda la jornada para terminar vibrando en la sala Akasha hasta el anochecer.

Each year, the power of gratitude brings the big Las Dalias family together to close the season and return to the earth the bounty of the shared community

With tobacco in her mouth, the deep voice of Maria Valdivia, the Las Dalias medicine woman, chants to the sun a spontaneous prayer for the heavens and their infinite reaches, for the earth and its deep roots. She asks those present to connect with Pachamama through their feet, and to expose their skin to her shining light. And so begins the loving Las Dalias Family Day each year, the quintessential event of gratitude to bid farewell to each season of hard work and community at the flea market, once the summer is over.

On the very ground where the stalls are set up and where thousands of visitors stroll during the summer months, vendors, workers, guests and the entire Las Dalias family come together in autumn to give their gratitude back to the earth, in a mutual and reciprocal gesture. This is an essential ceremony, where the chants resonate deep within the hearts of those who honour this ritual with their presence. Fruits such as lime, grains like rice, plants including tobacco, and spirits such as wine are tossed into a pit as a rich offering to the earth at Las Dalias.

DEEP WITHIN THE HEARTS OF THOSE WHO HONOUR THIS RITUAL WITH THEIR PRESENCE

Every autumn, this ceremony promotes the rebalancing of the Las Dalias community. What begins as a spiritual rite, continues as a celebration in the market gardens, with music, food and festivities throughout the day, and finally ends with the vibrations of music in the Akasha hall, until nightfall.
