MEMBER GENERAL CODE OF CONDUCT

WELCOME

THE CLUB’S CODE OF CONDUCT, RULES AND BY-LAWS - La Cumbre has always been an informal Club, light on regulation and heavily dependent on the good character and cooperation of its Members (those who have the privileges of Membership as defined in Article V, Section 8.1 of the By-Laws). Since its founding, the Club has been by invitation-only and owned by its equity Members. The Club's Board of Directors is selected from Club Membership, and Club Rules are developed in conjunction with Members serving on Standing Committees. All Members agree to comply with the Club's Code of Conduct, Rules, and By-Laws (herein referred to as "Club Regulations"), which are the legacy of the Club's proud history. Disrespect of fellow Members, our staff, and employees, or a pattern of willful violations of Club Regulations, detract from the basic principles upon which the Club was founded being a Member of La Cumbre has always been considered a privilege, not a right.

MEMBERS AND GUESTS - Members should expect the use of the Club's facilities to be enjoyable and free from embarrassment, confrontation, or strife. Violence or discriminatory verbal abuse is never to be tolerated. Members involved in an unpleasant exchange are strongly encouraged to seek each other out to resolve the issue quickly in the spirit of being fellow Club Members. Escalating disagreements to the general Membership or beyond the Club itself, especially using social media or the internet, is not consistent with the basic principles of the Club and could potentially cause reputational damage to a fellow Club Member or to the Club itself Each Member agrees to take responsibility for the compliance of their guests with Club Regulations

STAFF AND EMPLOYEES - The Club is fortunate to have a dedicated staff and employees. They are worthy of, and deserve, our appreciation and respect at all times. For our mutual enjoyment, we ask many of our staff and employees to help enforce the Club Regulations for golf, tennis, pool, fitness and dining. Cooperation by Members is expected. Dissatisfaction with services provided or other disagreements should be directed to the appropriate Supervisor or the General Manager, not to staff or employees directly. It is never appropriate to verbally abuse or act in a demeaning manner to staff or employees. The Club complies with an extensive Federal and State regulatory environment codified in the Employee Manual which includes providing a workplace with protections from violence, harassment (verbal, physical, or sexual in nature) and/or intimidation. Member violations of employee rights, which extend to anyone working for the Club, will not be tolerated and may be required to be reported to appropriate regulatory authorities.

PROPERTY - Members and their guests are responsible for damage to Club property, to vehicles parked on Club property and to properties outside the Club boundaries (e g , from a misdirected golf ball) Damage is to be reported immediately to the General Manager Members are expected to help maintain the condition of the Club (the course, equipment, facilities, or other Club property)

DISCIPLINE - Disciplinary action may include private reprimand, suspension of privileges or expulsion from the Club, as authorized in the By-laws and the Board-approved disciplinary process. During natural disaster or public health emergencies, the President of the Board may temporarily suspend a member's privileges for any violation of Club emergency directives. Compliance with Club Regulations will be considered as a factor in a request to upgrade from any class of Membership to Regular Membership.

(Rev. 12/9/2020)

CODE OF CONDUCT 6

GENERAL INFORMATION

Please read the Code of Conduct which sets expectations regarding Member conduct while at the Club. The Board of Directors has the discretion to change Rules from time to time and will notify Members of any changes. All Members must comply with the Club By-laws, Code of Conduct, and Rules.

See the Director of Membership, our GM, Chairs of the appropriate Board Committees, or the Department Heads for further information or questions. These Rules are applicable to all Members, their immediate household (defined in the By-Laws, Article V, Section 8.1 as a husband, wife, designated significant other, and sons and daughters of each, under the age of 25 residing with the Member), and their guests using the Club's facilities. These Rules may be amended, revised, or changed from time to time at the Board's sole discretion.

All Members are to be cognizant of and responsible for observing these Rules. Members are also responsible for the actions and conduct of their family and their guest(s) in accordance with these Rules.

Under no circumstances shall a Member admonish or subject an employee to embarrassment by taking corrective action for an employee's error. The General Manager shall administer any necessary disciplinary action. Therefore, all criticisms, complaints, and suggestions shall be submitted in writing to the Board of Directors, General Manager, or appropriate committee chair.

The Board shall have full authority for enforcement of the Rules and in its sole discretion to discipline anyone violating the Rules, subject to the provisions of Sections 10.1 and 10.2, Article V of the By-laws.

MEMBER SIGN-IN AND GUEST REGISTRATION

The Club requires Members, their immediate household, and guests to sign in or register for most Club activities. This will help ensure participant safety and proper use of the Club's facilities and will allow for the assessment of appropriate usage fees. Failure to sign in or register on each occasion may result in the suspension of privileges for the relevant activity.

Slower players must not restrict following foursomes when more than one full hole ahead is open and should consider allowing singles or twosomes to play through. Chronic violations will be reported to the golf chairperson and may result in the total or partial suspension of playing privileges. Four hours is considered to be sufficient time for a 4-ball group to finish 18 holes.

2. All players must register at the golf shop before commencing play. Before starting play on any portion of the golf course other than the first tee, obtain permission from the golf shop staff, especially for the 10th tee, and for play around the lake.

3. Players should enter and leave bunkers from the low side, not on the high side. Players must replace divots (using provided sand/soil mixture), repair ball marks on the green, and rake bunkers. Rake Placement: Rest the head of the rake (tines) inside the bunker with the rake handle lying against the outside edge of the bunker.

4. Playing as a fivesome during weekdays requires at least two golfing Members in the playing group. Golfing Members only are permitted fivesomes on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays. The Head Golf Professional has the discretion to disallow fivesomes if the pace of play will be affected.

5. All golfing Members completing 7 holes or more must record a 9-hole score for handicap purposes. Golfers completing 13 holes or more must record an 18-hole score. A net par should be recorded for any holes not played. Golfing Members should record their score electronically on Club computers or online with appropriate SCGA programs.

6. Golf practice is not permitted on any portion of the golf course other than areas specifically designated for that purpose. Use of more than one ball in "single" play is prohibited and considered to be practice.

7. Players stopping for lunch after the ninth hole forfeit their right to the tenth tee to following players. Using the phone on the ninth tee to call the Patio Bar & Grill will help avoid delay.

8. Every player must have his or her own set of clubs.

9. All Rules printed on the scorecard must be observed.
