LAST ACT2GETHER LIVE SESSION OF 2020: CHILDREN IN LOCAL POLITICS We ended our ACT2gether LIVE SESSIONS on an important topic with specialists from Bolivia đ&#x;˜Š Nicolas Sotomayor, a member of the Municipal Committee of La Paz and Maria Belen Paz, Act2gether Latin America's Director shared the experience of creating these Committees, supporting their development, the challenges and successes of working in partnership between generations and how this process influences public policy in Bolivia.

ACT2GETHER IN PALESTINE

PLANNING THE FUTURE Early this year A2G Palestine initiated a series of intergenerational meetings and workshops to discuss how to implement actions following the A2G Movement approach, the vision and activities of the Learning for Well- Being Foundation and how children and adults can participate in creating a better Palestinian society together.

A group of 11 volunteers are promoting a change of mindset in their communities by reflecting and working together on the 9 L4WB core capacities and taking steps into the digital world.

In October, they held an intergenerational meeting on the importance of competent intergenerational partnerships in the municipality of Ramallah where most of the activities in the event were implemented and organized by children and shared with adults.

ACT2GETHER IN THE NETHERLANDS

FIRST EXPLORATORY WORKSHOP FOR DUTCH PARTNERS Last month, 19 people from a wide range of organizations focused on youth participation and children's rights, took part in an interactive workshop on the theme "child and youth participation in the Netherlands�.

A diverse mix of Dutch organizations participated in the workshop, just to name a few: The Alliance for Childhood, Alexander Foundation, Children's Rights Collective, Korczak Association, Movisie, The Dutch Youth Council, Save the Children, Unicef NL and of course the host, L4WB Foundation with representatives from ACT2gether Global, Germany, Bolivia and the Netherlands.

This was a great opportunity to get to further understand how all of these organizations are influencing Dutch society by promoting child participation. It is important for Act2gether Netherlands to build bridges between all of those that are working towards partnership between generations and we will keep promoting spaces to share.

ACT2GETHER IN GERMANY

2GETHERLAND CAMP: COMING TOGETHER AGAIN Over 70 participants including children, young people, partners and adults came together on October 31st, at the 2GETHERLAND Germany REUNION, a day to present the follow-up projects and to exchange ideas after the experience in the 2GETHERLAND Camp.

Due to the pandemic the reunion was done via Zoom.

The group had moments to share old memories and the joy of the reunion really let the spirit of 2GETHERLAND come to life again. The projects implemented after 2GETHERLAND were presented in short videos and the JET team of youth experts arranged to have representatives of the delegations so that we could gain insights into their implementation.

It is clear that these projects are causing a ripple effect, as several of these initial projects have now sprouted additional ones. The feedback was very positive and all the different exchanges led to a common conclusion, the Corona virus crisis makes working for fair opportunities and equity for young people more urgent than ever and Act2gether Germany is very motivated to continue its work towards that goal.

ACT2GETHER IN LATIN AMERICA

FIRST WORKSHOP AFTER THE PANDEMIC Due to the sanitarian crisis worldwide, all work in A2G Latin America had to be moved online, adapting the current running projects with a lot of team effort and creativity.

As things got better and lock down lifted, the team facilitated their first inperson workshop with children and adults after 7 months! (of course strict sanitary protocols were followed). This intergenerational gathering was a great opportunity to put into practice the toolbox for competent partnership between generations in organizations that work with children.

The Alalay Foundation supports working and very vulnerable children in Bolivia and they are the main partner of this project. They have accepted the challenge to put into practice competent partnerships between generations for making decisions within their organization.
