ARCH 410: INTERMEDIATE DESIGN // PROFESSOR: KYLE REYNOLDS // PROGRAM: APARTMENTS //

SOLAR FLARE

Solar Flare is an apartment redevelopment in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee. Taking inspiration from the radial symmetry of Renaissance star forts, the aim was to pro-

ARCADEARCHIVE

ARCH 825: COMPREHENSIVE STUDIO // PROFESSOR: JIM SHIELDS //
PROGRAM: RARE BOOKS ARCHIVE //

Arcade Archive is a rare books archive for the city of Milwaukee. Built to a modest yet detailed scale, Arcade Archive was designed to be the “missing puzzle piece” of Milwaukee’s City Hall Square,
providing ground level connectivity, a continuation of the plaza, and deference to its surroundings, capturing the proportions and human scale of neighboring buildings in a contemporary way

RUIN RIDGE

ARCH 850: HISTORIC PRESERVATION STUDIO // PROFESSOR: MATT JAROSZ // PROGRAM: ADAPTIVE REUSE //

Ruin Ridge transformed the crumbling drystacked limestone ruins of the 1900 Maribel Caves Hotel and bottling plant in Manitiwoc, Wisconsin. After converting a point cloud of the existing structure into Revit, a program and
proposal for a wedding venue, botique hotel, and supperclub was implemented to repurpose and support the ruins without overpowering them.
