We Represent You! The Hanover Park Park District is a separate governing agency established for the purpose of providing parks, facilities and recreational programs for the community. The Park District is responsible for the maintenance, operation and administration of parks and park facilities under its jurisdiction. The Park District is governed by five commissioners elected at large for overlapping, four-year terms. The commissioners set the policies for the operation of the Park District.

Meetings are the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 7 pm in the Community Center Board Room. Residents are welcome to attend.

SENIOR RUN-A-BOUT CLUB Our Senior Club meets at the Hanover Township Senior Center located at 240 IL-59 in Bartlett, Illinois. The club meets Tuesday from 10am-3pm to play card and dice games along with Bingo.

If interested in participating at the Hanover Township Senior Center or for their bus service, contact them at 630-483-5600. A Township staff member will give you details regarding registration and fees for their trips and classes.

SENIOR’S DISCOUNT Hanover Park Park District residents age 60 and older are entitled to a 25% discount on general recreation program fees, with the exception of contractual programs, senior programs and trips.

Special Events

March 24, 2018 Hop on over to the Hanover Park Park District to join the fun and enjoy breakfast with the Bunny. We will be serving a buffet style, ALL YOU CAN EAT, pancake breakfast. Each person will receive a side of sausage along with your choice of coffee, orange juice or hot chocolate. Come play our EGG-citing games and do a craft as well. There will be a FREE egg hunt in the gym between 10-10:40am. (Please see below for the age group and specific times.) The Easter Bunny will be walking around and available for pictures with your family. Purchase your tickets early to make sure you get a spot, or you can also purchase tickets at the door.

Preschool Mission Statement

The Hanover Park Park District’s Preschool program provides a safe and nurturing learning environment to encourage the progression of socialization skills, motor skills, and emotional development while encouraging independence, self expression and listening skills. Our students are prepared for kindergarten through the learning areas of numbers, math, letters, writing, reading, colors and shapes.

How Do I Enroll My Child?

Totally 2s & 3s Enrollment Procedure

Make the smart choice to get your little one ready for kindergarten! Students will learn about size, color and shapes, numbers, reading readiness, following directions, time, while developing social-emotional and listening skills. Teachers will explore the alphabet, addresses, phone numbers, and name writing with your child. Classes are designed to prepare children who enter kindergarten in the fall of 2019. A graduation celebration will be held at the end of the school year. Parents are encouraged to help 1-2 times a month in the preschool programs. Class maximum: 12 students.

Registration must be completed at the Park District office.

The entire fee is due at time of registration. A copy of the child’s birth certificate is due at time of registration. Your child must be 2 years old by September 1, 2018. Upon registering you will be given a copy of the parent manual, emergency form, and medication form. The forms are due on the first day of class.

Little Learners Socialization and learning through play will fill your child’s day. Students are exposed to creative art expression, singing and rhythm activities, body movement, stories, free play, name recognition, fine motor skills, and activities related to every day math, science, and language discovery. This class is a great opportunity for your child to get ready for Pre-Kindergarten. Parents are encouraged to help 1-2 times a month in the preschool programs. Class maximum: 10 students.

Totally 2s & 3s Information Parents may stay the first class to help ease their child into separation. This is not a parent/tot program and parents will be asked to stop attending after the first class. Policies and procedures will be explained during the first class.

Pull ups are accepted, but our teachers are not able to change any child. Children should be in the process of learning how to be toilet independent while attending this program. Parents must be available to return to the program to change their child’s pull up or in case of a bathroom accident.

Totally 2s & 3s This program is designed to provide your child with their first introduction to a preschool setting. Our caring and qualified staff will help ease each child’s separation from their parent. Classes will emphasize socialization and learning through play. Music, story time, and arts and crafts are a few of the exciting new experiences your toddler will enjoy. This program is an excellent stepping stone into our Little Learners program. 2017-2018 Before School Club (BSC)

S C HOOL C LU B Limited Space Available For 2017-2018 Before & After School Club (BASC) Payment Information Tuition is based on the total number of days school is actually in session per year. Fees are divided into 9 equal payments for the school year and will not be lower for those months that have fewer attendance days due to holidays (i.e. winter and spring break). Participants are not charged for holidays and days off from school.

A $15 non-resident fee will be charged at the time of registration when applicable.

Registration must be completed at the Park District office.

Phone-in registration will not be accepted. A parent handbook will be given out at the time of registration.

Included in the handbook is an Emergency Release Form.

This form is due on the first day of BASC.

Days Off From School Information BASC does not run on days when school is not in session.

If the school closes due to inclement weather the BASC will be closed. There will be additional programs on some of the school districts’ full days off.

Days Off Club School’s out, so join us for a day of fun! Children will participate in a variety of games and activities to keep them engaged. Please pack your children a lunch and water bottle. A morning and afternoon snack are provided. This program is open to all children in grades K-6; enrollment in Before and After School Club is not required.

BASC Daily Pass Don’t have a set schedule or need childcare when something comes up? Then this is your solution. Camp-Morning Extended Care Spring into an awesome break! Your camper will be active, creative and create memories while on school break. Each day will have crafts and activities based on that week’s theme. Friday will feature a field trip. Campers must bring their own lunch and drink. Please send your camper in comfortable clothes and gym shoes that they can be active in. Camp is lead by our experienced After School and Camp Staff. Need morning and afternoon care? Spring Break

Day Camps

Day Camps Day Camp All Day Camps are one week sessions from 8 am – 3pm with the option to extend the day or have bus service.

Families may chose to do the weekly or daily option for each session. All camps will go on a weekly field trip, and will swim at Seafari Springs Aquatic Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Children must be entering the grades listed in Fall 2018. Listed below are the individual camps.

Discovery Camp (Pre-K- 1st Grade) Our youngest campers will spend their days with new friends, while discovering all that camp has to offer!

In addition to the weekly field trip and swim days, campers will participate in games and crafts related to the weekly theme. There will also be plenty of time for free play, outdoor time at the playground and Safety Town, STEM activities, and community visits.

Adventure Camp (2nd-5th Grade) Your child will have an adventure of a summer playing games, making crafts, participating in theme days, making friends, and more! Adventure Campers will also go on community visits, a weekly field trip, and swim twice a week at Seafari Springs.

Teen Camp (6th-9th Grade) Your teen will the most of their summer at Teen Camp!

Spend the summer hanging out with friends, while participating in arts and crafts, games, teambuilding activities, cooking, service projects, and more. Teen Campers will also take a weekly field trip, and swim twice a week at Seafari Springs.

Sports & Splash Camp (3rd-5th Grade) Campers will spend the morning participating in indoor and outdoor athletic activities. Campers will try their hand at a variety of sports, including tennis, soccer, basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, and more!

Afternoons will be spent beating the heat swimming at Seafari Springs, visiting a local splash pad, or playing water games. Each week will also feature a sportsthemed field trip.

Camp Options All Camp Options have the choice of all 5 days or the daily option.

Camp Sunrise (All grades)- 3-6:15pm Start your day bright and early at Camp Sunrise! Campers will participate in quiet morning activities, and a light breakfast will be served.

Camp Sunset (All grades) – 3-6:15pm Extend the camp day at Camp Sunset. Campers will relax after a long camp day with quiet activities and crafts, and more outdoor fun. An afternoon snack will be provided.

Camp Bus Service (All grades) Our camp bus will pick up your child at their door. Families can chose both the morning and afternoon service, or just one option. Route times run approximately 7-8 am and 3-4 pm.

General Information Camp registration may done in-person or online. At time of registration, parents will receive the “Summer Day Camp Parent Manual” and the Camp Emergency Form (if registering online, parents must print the manual and form out).

The “Summer Day Camp Parent Manual” must be read before camp begins. It provides important information and policies about camp.

The Camp Emergency Form is due on the first day of camp.

Full Camp Session fees are required. There is no prorating.

Registration Deadline is the Friday prior to the session by 11 am. We may not be able to accommodate families who register past the deadline.

Campers must bring sunscreen, a lunch, and water bottle daily. All campers must wear gym shoes and clothes that they can be active in.

*Drop off and pick up will take place at Ahlstrand Fieldhouse. After Check-in, Sport’s and Splash campers will walk across the street to the Community Center for their daily activities. Bussing will be made available in the case of inclement weather. Sport’s and Splash campers are eligible to sign up for Camp Sunrise and Camp Sunset, which take place at Ahlstrand Fieldhouse.

Private Drum Lessons This class is for children or adults, beginners to experienced drummers. You'll learn Jazz, Rock, Blues, Funk, and Latin Funk drum techniques during your private half-hour lessons on a professional drum set. Instructor Verne Duddles creates a comfortable and inspiring atmosphere to maximize each student's progress. Please bring a set of drum sticks to class (price is $6-$12), available at any good music store. The recommended drumstick sizes are: 7A for children and 5A for adults. Beginner Flag Football Camp

This program introduces the basics of gymnastics through tumbling. Body awareness and balance will be developed through an “obstacle course” type set-up of mats, foam inclines, mail boxes, barrels, steps, beams, and junior bars.

Open Adult Basketball

Score a touchdown and join the NFL youth co-ed flag football league. The NFL Flag Football Leagues will provide an environment for players of all levels. Teams are offered for ages 6+. Teams will compete against other teams from the Park District. Each team will practice once during the week and play games on Saturdays. Spring Inter Village Soccer Leagues Break away from the pack and join youth co-ed soccer leagues. Fútbol Juvenile Entre Ciudades Unite a La Lega de fútbol Juvenile Entre Ciudades. La Lega Juvenile Entre Ciudades ofrece un ambiente para jugadores de todos niveles. Equipos empiezan de edades U10 (3/4 grado), U12 (5/6 grado), U14 (7/8 grado). Equipos jugaran contra otros equipos de diferentes distritos. Instructor John Paoli will train participants in combinations of Tae Kwon Do (blocking, punching and kicking) Hapkido (wrist locks), and Judo (throws) techniques. The physical conditioning increases coordination, strength, concentration and discipline. No prior skill or knowledge is needed to sign up for the beginner class.

May 5 - November 11, 2018 Do you like to garden, but don’t have the space at home?

The Hanover Park Park District can help!

Garden plots are located at the south end of Community Park just west of the Parks Department maintenance facility.

Parking is available on Maple Avenue.Garden Plots will be available from May 5 thru November 11, 2018.

Each plot is 10’ x 15’Cost $25 ($35 non-residents) Garden Plots will be secured with a fence. Water is available and gardeners are responsible for maintaining their plots throughout the growing season. Individuals and groups can donate produce from gardens to the Hanover Township Food Panty. Those who donate all of their produce to the food pantry will

receive a refund of their rental fee at the end of the growing season.

Aquatic Facility Closing Seafari Springs Aquatic Center will be closed at the Aquatic Supervisor’s discretion based on the air temperature being 68 degrees or below, low attendance (less than 25 people), mechanical failure or inclement weather. The facility may reopen if conditions improve. Refunds will not be issued if the pool is closed for the day.

Are you interested in having the entire aquatic facility all to yourself? Let’s make that happen. Our aquatic facility is a great place to have company picnics, church group outings, school parties, large birthday parties and many more reasons. The Seafari Springs Aquatic Center is available for rent between Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, August 12, 2017 after regular hours. Our rates include use of the entire facility. The park district reserves the right to allow more than one group to rent at the same time. Pricing starts as low as $200 ($250 NR) per hour for 1-100 guests. Each additional guest over 100 is $4.

Zero-Depth Pool

Just like a beach, the water gradually deepens from less than an inch to a depth of 12 feet. Wade and enjoy the cool water on a hot summer day. Our Jungle Shack slide is especially designed for small visitors. Water geysers shoot up to 6 feet of water.

Aqua Bloom

This feature has a large colorful flower bloom as the top. It has a series of nozzles in a unique formation around the column creating an amazing spiral curtain. A secondary jet shoots water from the center of the flower.

Turtle Falls Water Play Area & Slide

Play in a rumbling 13-foot waterfall. Climb between the rocks for a fast trip down a tropical slide.

Serengeti Plains Grass Play / Lounge Area

Duck Drop

Join us in kicking off Summer of 2018 at Seafari Spring Aquatic Center and for a chance at winning a few individual pool pass for this season! Everyone will enjoy music and games. Staff will be available to answer any questions you may have about the Aquatic Center, Birthday Parties, Swim lessons, and Rentals. Don’t forget to check out our Oasis Concession Stand!

Bring the family out for a quack-tacular time! At 2:00pm watch as we dump your numbered duckies down the Cheetah’s Run Speed Slide! Try and spot who races to the stairs first for the win. The first three ducks to get to the stairs will be the winners! Winners will be announced at 2:15pm and does not need to be present to win. Prizes can be claimed at the Guard Office. If not present, winners will be contacted but must pick up prize within 1 week of the date of event. After the race, enjoy time playing in the pool and racing down the slides. Visit The Oasis Concession Stand for all of your eating and drinking needs!

Swim Lesson Academy

The Hanover Park Park District’s Sailfish Swim Team is a competitive organization designed to improve each swimmer’s performance, racing technique, endurance, and flexibility in an exciting atmosphere of fun and safety.

Registration is available to boys and girls between the ages of 6 to 18 who can swim one length of the pool. Our swim team competes against 10 other park districts in the Dupage Swim & Dive Conference. Information regarding practice dates and locations will be provided at the time of registration. Practices will be held at Seafari Springs.

New This Year: Sunday Morning Swim Lessons! The Hanover Park Park District’s Swim Lesson Academy Program offers swimming instruction for people of all ages and abilities. Three sessions of swim lessons are available throughout the summer. The Swim Lesson Academy Parent Manual is available at registration, the first day of lessons (upon request) and on the Park District website under Seafari Springs at www.hpparks.org. Participants 3 years and up will be tested the first day of class to make sure they are registered for the proper level. Parents and other spectators are permitted to wait on the deck area under the Funbrellas or at the Oasis concession area.

Advance registration is recommended to ensure choice of class and times for the entire summer. Registration will not be accepted after the session registration deadline to ensure low ratios, quality lessons and instructor availability.

The Park District reserves the right to combine class levels if deemed appropriate. (JH)

Swim Team Registration Information Join the four-time Conference Champ Sailfish today. On Saturday, May 5, there will be a special registration booth at the Community Center, 1919 Walnut Avenue from 10 am to 12 pm. Registration will be taken at the Park District office throughout the summer. Additional children must be from the same family.

Private Swim Lessons (Youth And Adult) Due to popular demand, we have setup specific time slots for private swim lessons this summer. We also have extended them to Sunday mornings. Do you feel that you or your child needs more individualized attention than available in group swim lessons? Then private swim lessons are the way to go. Each private lesson offers four half-hour classes which are available at Seafari Springs from our trained swim instructors. Instructors can be assigned or the participant can select a favorite instructor (if available).

Lesson times are listed below and subject to availability of instructors. To set-up lessons, come to the Community Center Administrative Office and fill out a private swim lesson form. Inclement Weather Policy The Hanover Park Park District’s swim lesson program includes out-of-water instruction and teaches safety awareness. Because of the large number of participants and unpredictable summer weather, we cannot contact everyone in case of cancellation. Adults (Ages 15y an older) Adult swim lessons are for anyone looking to swim for the first time or want to refresh your memory of the strokes taught. Our adult lessons are customized to your needs as a swimmer. Between the instructor and you a lesson plan will be formulated to maximize your lessons to what you want to get out of them. Ratio 8:1

Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training Hanover Park Park District lifeguards have completed water safety training and testing conducted by Ellis & Associates. Ellis & Associates is recognized as the leader in aquatic risk management and lifeguard training. Each lifeguard must pass the 24 hour International Lifeguard Training Program that includes First Aid/CPR/AED and water rescue skills. In addition, all lifeguards are required to complete a minimum of 4 hours of in service each month. Ellis & Associates conducts surprise audits to review the facility and staff performance throughout the summer.

Swim Lesson Instructor Training All Hanover Park Park District instructors must complete a 10 hour training program specialized in different teaching techniques for all swim levels. In addition, all swim instructors are required to complete a minimum of 1 hour of in-service training per month. The swim lesson coordinator reviews all staff performances throughout the summer.

Fútbol Juvenile Entre Ciudades

El Distrito de Parques ofrece clases de Pre-escolar para niño/as de 2 a 4 años de edad. Las clases varían de 2 a 3 días por semana y se ofrecen en dos locales convenientes.

Horarios por la mañana y por las tarde. El costo de las clases es muy accesible y existe la opción de pagos mensuales. El distrito tendrá un “Open House” el 29 de agosto, llame para más informes sobre la clase y el horario.

Unite a La Lega de fútbol Juvenile Entre Ciudades. La Lega Juvenile Entre Ciudades ofrece un ambiente para jugadores de todos niveles. Equipos empiezan de edades U10 (3/4 grado), U12 (5/6 grado), U14 (7/8 grado). Equipos jugaran contra otros equipos de diferentes distritos. Cada equipo practica una vez a la semana con partidos los sábados. Jugadores debe registrase acuerdo de su edad durante el año escolar 2015/2016. Cada jugador recibirá una playera del equipo, shorts y calcetines. Espinilleras son requeridas. Se recomienda el uso de tacos de fútbol.

Clases de Natación Aprenda a nadar! Clases para personas de todas edades y capacidades disponibles en varias sesiones a través del verano. Las clases se ofrecen entre semana ya sea por las mañanas o por las tardes o los sábados. Clases para niños desde los 6 meses de edad hasta adultos. La inscripción temprana es recomendada para asegurar la elección de horarios de clase para el verano entero. Racquetball* and Tennis court time may be reserved on a permanent basis for three sessions per year by filling out a permanent court time contract. When you reserve tennis permanent court time you receive the following benefits: Reduced rate because you pay in advance for each session, we reduce the hourly rate by $1.00. Tennis and Racquetball: Guaranteed reservation – you never need to call, just come in and play, your court is waiting. PCT goes on sale May 21, 2018 at 9 am. Those purchasing PCT during the Fall season will have the first opportunity to purchase PCT for the Fall 2018 season.

Aerobic Studio This 2500 sq. ft. studio features wood flooring, mirrors and a state-of-the-art sound system.

Fitness Center This 2400 sq. ft. center features state-of-the-art resistance & cardiovascular equipment and a fully equipped 600 sq. ft. free weight room.

Handicap Accessibility The Park District and the CCAC are handicapped accessible and comply with A.D.A. standards. The elevator is accessible from all 3 levels and is available for public use.

Locker Rooms, Whirlpools & Saunas Club members will enjoy the clean and spacious men’s & women’s locker rooms, each with its own whirlpool and sauna.

Lounge and Snack Bar The central core of the club includes a lounge area complete with a big screen TV where members and guests may relax after a hard workout.

Tennis Lesson Cancellations Group lesson are subject to cancellation at the Director of Racquet Sport’s discretion. A minimum class size of 3 participants is needed for the class to run.

Court Reservations & Cancellations Members may reserve court time up to seven days in advance. Cancellation of court time must be made at least 24 hours in advance of play. Members are responsible for court fees if for any reason they wish to cancel less than 24 hours and the court cannot be sold. Members who make reservations and fail to show are responsible for the cost of the court and are charged accordingly.

Guest Policy Non-members who wish to utilize the Centre Court Athletic Club facilities will be responsible for a $10 guest fee.

Monthly Play Pass If playing a lot of tennis is high on your priority list you can’t go wrong by purchasing a Play Pass. Reservations may be made up to 48 hours in advance, initially for one-and-a-half hours of tennis. If the court is available at the end of that time, please contact the customer service desk to see if the court is still available. Non-play pass holders must pay their portion of the court time fees. A valid CCAC membership is required to purchase a play pass. The play pass is available during the following hours: Weekdays from 5:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Centre Court Athletic Club’s Recreational Program is designed to be a fun high energy learning experience for tennis players. The emphasis for classes will be on quality instruction that will help our students improve their tennis games as well as a fun atmosphere that will let students of all ages enjoy their time on the court and look forward to the next lesson! **Make-ups for missed classes will be limited to 2 per class per session and the front desk must be notified of the make-up at least 24 hrs ahead of time. The goal of this class is simple – to learn the basics of a rally by being able to hit the ball back and forth over the net with a partner through the use of fun activities and games.

We will emphasize the development of rally skills using both forehand and backhand ground strokes, as well as introduce other tennis related skills, such as serve, return of serve and volleys.

This lesson group focuses both learning and competing on the tennis court. We look to build on the continual development of rallying skills, developing tactical and court positioning skills, as well as more familiarity with singles and doubles play. We will introduce and emphasize the overhead serve as well as transition shots, such as a slice backhand and approach shots. All this will be done in a fun, but competitive, manner.

ACADEMY PROGRAM

Centre Court Athletic Club’s Academy Program is for the students in our program who are ready to commit to becoming serious high quality tennis players. The program is structured to challenge students both physically and mentally and to help build and refine a strong tennis foundation on which they will succeed. In the Academy Program; the pro to student ratio is smaller allowing for better individual instruction during lessons, the amount of courts allocated to the class is greater so that there is less down time between points, and our high performance instructors have more experience, credentials, and track records of working with many successful high level tournament players. **Make-ups for missed classes will be limited to 2 per class per session and the front desk must be notified of the make-up at least 24 hrs ahead of time. Make-ups must be completed by the end of the session in which the student is enrolled. This is an effort to have the correct numbers of students in each class and to try to maintain the Pro:Student ratio as closely as possible. Registration

You asked for it, we heard you! Easier way to register for programs & events!

All you need is one form of identification:

• a current driver’s license • a current State issued photo ID card OR a Matricula Card (also known as the Mexican CID card) to receive the discounted resident rate when you register for programs and events.

You will receive the resident rate: • If your current drivers license, State issued photo ID card has a Hanover Park address.

• If you live outside of the Village of Hanover Park AND Hanover Park Park District is listed on your tax bill.

Five Easy and Convenient Ways to Register All household information must be updated ANNUALLY with Hanover Park Park District residency documented with a Photo ID (Driver’s license or State ID). CONTINUED PROOF OF RESIDENCY is necessary to guarantee that only residents living within Hanover Park or HPPD boundaries receive discounted rates.

1. Online Registration – www.hpparks.org Online registration is available through our website. If you have not yet applied for online registration, a simple quick visit to the Hanover Park Park District Community Center at 1919 Walnut Ave, Hanover Park, IL 60133 is necessary to complete the family registration form. All you need is one form of identification: a current driver’s license, a current State issued photo ID card OR a Matricula Card (also known as the Mexican CID card).

Mail- 1919 Walnut Ave, Hanover Park, IL 60133 Prior to mailing in your registration, A Family Information Form must be completed in person at the Park District office, accompanied by one form of identification: a current driver’s license, a current State issued photo ID card OR a Matricula Card (also known as the Mexican CID card). *Registration for preschool and Before and After School Club must be made in person.

3. Fax – (630) 837-9720 Prior to faxing in your registration, a Family Information Form must be completed in person at the Park District office, accompanied by proof of Hanover Park Park District residency (Driver’s license or State ID or a Matricula Card) if you are a resident. Fax completed registration, including Visa, Mastercard, or Discover credit card information to 630-837-9720.

4. Walk-In Register in person at the Park District office at 1919 Walnut Ave, Hanover Park, IL 60133 during regular business hours.

Registration Information 1. Only immediate family members be listed on a registration form.

2. Only a parent or guardian may register a minor and sign the waiver.

3. The registration form must be filled out completely and accurately.

4. Review all registration, transfer and refund information.

5. Payment must accompany registration. Fax registration must be accompanied by Visa, Master Card or Discover card information.

Make checks payable to the Hanover Park Park District.

6. Members of households with a delinquent outstanding balance shall not be allowed to register for Park District programs or facilities until said balance is paid in full.

Residents and Non Resident Rates

Residents in Hanover Park have priority for limited programs. You will receive the discounted resident rate if your current drivers license, State issued photo ID card has a Hanover Park address OR if you live outside of the Village of Hanover Park AND Hanover Park Park District is listed on your tax bill.

Residents only need one form of identification: a current driver’s license, a current State issued photo ID card OR a Matricula Card (also known as the Mexican CID card). Non-residents may register for programs for a fee that is 50% higher than the resident fee or $15 over the resident fee, whichever is the smaller amount.

Transfers

Requests must be made in person. A $5 service fee will apply for most transfers. A $10 service fee will apply for Preschool, Before and After School Club and Summer Day Camp programs.

Refund Policy

Refunds will not be granted for class(es) missed or forgotten. All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. Forms for refunds are available at the Park District office.

•

Refunds requested for a program prior to the start of the class will be assessed a $5 service fee.

•

A request for a refund after the program begins, but prior to the 2nd meeting, will also be assessed an additional prorated fee based upon the per class cost.

•

NO REFUNDS will be granted after the 2nd class with the exception of a written medical excuse with the fee based on the prorated cost per class and the normal service fee.

•

Refunds for trips will not be given unless the trip is cancelled by the Park District or a replacement is found to take the trip.

•

A $10 service fee applies for Preschool, Before and After School Club and Summer Day Camp programs.

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance offers residents who experience undue hardship an opportunity to enroll their children in recreation programs.

Funding is made available by the Hanover Park Park Foundation. For more information, contact Gina Mastro-Strickler at (630) 837-2468 x121.

Accessibility The Hanover Park Park District, Centre Court Athletic Club and all other facilities are accessible and comply with A.D.A. standards.

The elevator in the Community Center is accessible from all three levels and is available for public use.

Program Code of Conduct To ensure enjoyable and safe programs for all participants, the Hanover Park Park District has developed a behavior code. Participants shall: • Show respect to all participants and staff • Refrain from using foul language • Refrain from causing bodily harm • Show respect to equipment, supplies and facilities Additional rules are developed for specific programs as deemed necessary by staff.

Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in removal from program or event without refund.

Facility Rentals Park District facilities are ideal for parties, receptions, or private gatherings and are available when park programs are not scheduled. Bike Path and Trails Maintenance Policy

Mother Nature will be allowed to take her own course of action with respect to out park district bike paths and trails, located at Community Park, Ahlstrand Park, Harbor Park East-West, Nautilus Park and Ranger Park. In Illinois there is no legal duty to clear paths or trails. But if an agency voluntarily takes on the job, liability may be imposed if it is not done properly.

The Park District Risk Management Agency (PDRMA) recommends that we limit path maintenance to a thorough season-ending inspection and documentation of irregularities, that we fix any hazards and that we post signs conveying the message that users of the paths and trails do so at their own risk.
