We Represent You! The Hanover Park Park District is a separate governing agency established for the purpose of providing parks, facilities and recreational programs for the community. The Park District is responsible for the maintenance, operation and administration of parks and park facilities under its jurisdiction. The Park District is governed by five commissioners elected at large for overlapping, four-year terms. The commissioners set the policies for the operation of the Park District.

Meetings are the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 7 pm in the Community Center Board Room. Residents are welcome to attend.

Letter From The Board President Here are some new ideas to GET MOVING INTO SPRING! n Get active outdoors! Take a run through one of our many park trails near you or grab a friend for a tennis match. It’s nice to come out of hibernation and get a dose of fresh air and feel reenergized in your workout. n It’s never too early to figure out what the heck the kids will be doing for Spring Break. The Park District has many different options for hours of healthy fun for kids of all ages. Spring Break Camp, Morning and Evening Extended Care, Open Basketball, Tennis Lessons and STEM Engineering Camps to name a few. n Spring cleaning! Not only is it a good idea to de-clutter and organize your house, but take the time to recharge your mind and evaluate your social and work schedule to make more time for yourself and your Family. n Our entire Active Senior Adults program has been improved with partnering with the Hanover Township. Many more activities and events are now being offered. n This Spring Brochure will also give you a head start on the Summer Day Camps and all of the Seafari Springs Aquatic Center information to help plan your special Summer in the Sun. n Check out the special incentives of becoming a 2017 season pass holder at Seafari Springs this Summer. n If someone you know is looking for their first job, apply to work at Seafari Springs as a lifeguard, swim lesson instructor or concession staff. Positions are available to individuals 15 years of age and older. n And don’t forget the Pancake Breakfast with the Bunny, presented by the Hanover Park District Lion’s Club here in the gymnasium on Saturday April 8 from 8-11 am.

Birthday Parties

Tiny Tots Party (Ages 1-4) $90/$105

Hanover Park Park District Birthday Party Packages Include: • 11 Children plus the birthday child • Each additional guest who participates will be $5 (child or adult) • 2 hours to be divided between play time and the party room.

• 30 minutes before/after your party to set-up, decorate and clean up. Trash bags and trash removal included.

• Additional time can be added for $30 per half hour, with a maximum of 1 hour extra.

• At least 1 dedicated party host/hostess • Host/Hostess will organize and run the games/activities.

• Help serve food and cake • A cart to bring in and take out your party supplies, gifts or extra food • Decorations, plastic table covers, napkins, plates, and cups • You are welcome to bring in your own decorations, juice, pop, food or cake, (coordinate with Mark Dolphin). returned with a 50% non-refundable deposit fee. Are you looking for a place to let your little one and their friends crawl around and have fun for their birthday? Well look no further. We have an early childhood class room with toys and mats that your little one can play and have a ball with. (MD)

Miniature Golf Party (Ages 5-14) $100/$115

Our Miniature Golf Course is fun, unique and designed just for you! It appeals to children of all age. Miniature golf will be set up for party guests to enjoy. It can be turned it into a glow in the dark course but only available during certain months. Contact Mark Dolphin if interested in glow mini golf. (MD)

Cooking and Games Party (Ages 5-14) $100/$115

Enjoy our new cooking party where you can pick from cheese or pepperoni pizza, cupcakes, or quesadillas to cook. While the food is cooking you get to play our “60 seconds or less” games. (Additional cooking choice may be added for a fee of $20) (MD)

Princess for a Day Party (Ages 6-10) $100/$115

The birthday girl will be a princess on her special day! Guests and birthday girl will get hair, nails, and make up done. Everyone will create a crown to keep. (MD)

Come enjoy your birthday party at the Hanover Park Park District Gym. You will have the entire gym at your disposal. Some of the sports you can choose to play are basketball, soccer, touch football, or even kickball. (MD)

Nerf Battle Party (Ages 6-14) $100/$115

Have you ever wanted to have a Nerf gun battle in the house but mom said no? Well now you can! Bring your friends to celebrate your birthday and get ready to have the best Nerf battle ever. Create your own obstacles to use to defeat the other team. There are 10 Nerf guns available from the park district to use. Targets, obstacles, safety glasses and darts will be provided. (MD)

Tennis Party (Ages 5-14) $115/$130

Learn how to play tennis or just have fun playing tennis for your next the basics of tennis. You will also get to play some fun games. (MD)

Enroll your child today in one of our Enrichment Programs.

Children do not need to be enrolled in preschool to attend these programs. This is a great way to extend your child’s preschool day or expose them to the classroom setting. Children attending after their preschool class should make sure to bring a lunch. Preschoolers will eat lunch in between their preschool class and the enrichment program.

Beauty and the Beat Each week will feature a different fairytale such as “Beauty and the Beast” to dance using props and our imaginations.

There will time to create a craft based on that week’s tale.

Please dress your child(ren) in comfortable clothes that allow for movement.

As easy as 123 Children will learn how math plays an important role in their daily lives. Through this unique approach, the children explore topics such as number recognition, patterns, and sorting.

The Hanover Park Park District’s Preschool program provides a safe and nurturing learning environment to encourage the progression of socialization skills, motor skills, and emotional development while encouraging independence, self expression and listening skills. Our students are prepared for kindergarten through the learning areas of numbers, math, letters, writing, reading, colors and shapes.

How Do I Enroll My Child?

Totally 2s & 3s Enrollment Procedure

The smart choice to get your little one ready for kindergarten. Students will learn about size, color and shapes, numbers, reading readiness, following directions, time, listening skills and social-emotional development. Teachers will explore the alphabet, addresses, phone numbers and name writing with your child. Classes are designed to prepare children who enter kindergarten in the fall of 2018. A graduation celebration will be held at the end of the school year. Parents are encouraged to help 1-2 times a month in the preschool programs. Class maximum: 12 students.

Registration must be completed at the Park District office.

The entire fee is due at time of registration. A copy of the child’s birth certificate is due at time of registration. Your child must be 2 years old by September 1, 2017. Upon registering you will be given a copy of the parent manual, emergency form, and medication form. The forms are due on the first day of class.

10% discount when the year is paid in full at time of registration.

Installment Bill Fee of $3/month. (included in monthly fee)

SCHOOL CLUB Before & After School Club (BASC) Payment Information

2016-2017 Before School Club (BSC)

Tuition is based on the total number of days school is actually in session per year. Fees are divided into 9 equal payments for the school year and will not be lower for those months that have fewer attendance days due to holidays (i.e. winter and spring break). Participants are not charged for holidays and days off from school.

Our before school staff not only provides a safe and fun environment, but also participates in games and crafts with your child before they start the school day. Breakfast (such as cereal, toaster pastries) is provided. With a flexible schedule (you pick how many days your child attends) and a reasonable fee, you cannot go wrong. Transportation from our facility to school is provided by our shuttle bus.

Registration Information Registration must be completed at the Park District office.

Phone-in registration will not be accepted. A parent handbook will be given out at the time of registration.

Included in the handbook is an Emergency Release Form.

This form is due on the first day of BASC.

Days Off From School Information BASC does not run on days when school is not in session.

If the school closes due to inclement weather the BASC will be closed. There will be additional programs on some of the school districts’ full days off.

BASC Daily Pass Don’t have a set schedule or need childcare when something comes up, then this is your solution.

The Daily Pass allows you to purchase days and use them when you need them throughout the school year. There are guidelines that will be given out at time of registration.

General Information • Camp registration may done in-person or online. At time of registration, parents will receive the “Summer Day Camp Parent Manual” and the Camp Emergency Form (if registering online, parents must print the manual and form out).

• The “Summer Day Camp Parent Manual” must be read before camp begins since it provides detailed information and policies about camp.

• The Camp Emergency Form is due on the first day of camp.

• Full Camp Session fees are required. There is no prorating.

• Registration Deadline is the Saturday prior to the session by 11 am. We may not be able to accommodate families who register past the deadline.

• Campers must bring sunblock, lunch and water bottle daily.

STEM Spring Break Camp

Children in this multi-level class will learn the basics to advanced engineering concepts using LEGOs. Some examples of the models being used during the class are: powered cars, cranes, and solar windmills. This is a Chasewood teacher-led class that teaches fun, engaging and dynamic activities. At the end of the session, students will be given a gift. (MD)

This STEM Camp provides activities for new and experienced children using a creative educational approach that supports Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Each day will have different STEM disciplines from Robotics to Electrical Engineering to Mechanical Engineering. Each day will present a new challenge for all ages and experience. LEGO Robotics Academy The LEGO Robotics Academy is a comprehensive, repeatable program where children learn to design, build and program robots. Dog Obedience (People Training for Dogs) Our novice dog obedience course is designed to educate the public on being responsible dog owners and to recognize and control problems before they become unmanageable. You will teach your dog to heel, sit, down, stay, and stand for veterinary exams and come when called by the end of the session. You will see improvement immediately following the first session and thereafter in working with your dog for only 30 minutes a day. Along with learning basic commands, the topics of nutrition, immunizations, and grooming will be discussed. Don’t let your best friend take you for a walk. Begin a program to make your dog your best friend again. Students and their dog may repeat this class free of charge for the life of their dog. The first class is held without the dog. Parent Tot Super Sports Jr. Program This program gives you and your child an opportunity to bond and have fun together while learning a variety of sports. This class is great for improving simple motor skills such as; catching, throwing, batting, shooting, passing, running and really helps in developing hand-eye coordination. Parents participate with the child as we play soccer, basketball, hockey, t-ball, football and other sports. This is a great intro to the All Star programs and staff, where parents can help in making the kids feel comfortable. Gym I: Development of strength, balance & coordination and basic apparatus skills are introduced.

Taught the All Star way, this program will keep everyone active and engaged both mentally and physically! Our lesson plan is designed to teach the game by hiding drills in fun games and using association techniques that get down to the players level. Soccer is a game that is action packed so there will be no sitting and waiting! Engaging the players at all times, we will cover simple foot skills, dribbling, passing, shooting, basic rules and even work on spreading the field. Archery Youth and Adult

Instructor John Paoli will train participants in combinations of Tae Kwon Do (blocking, punching and kicking) Hapkido (wrist locks), and Judo (throws) techniques. The physical conditioning increases coordination, strength, concentration and discipline. No prior skill or knowledge is needed to sign up. Boxing Academy This class will teach you proper boxing techniques while infusing a blend of cardio and strength training intervals.

Horsemanship Youth/Adult Join in the fun at Dunham Woods Farm with beginning riding lessons! Dunham Woods Farm is top-notch equestrian facility dedicated to providing the best instruction available for over 50 years. Our teachings are based on tradition and looking to the future. You’ll learn all about the proper ways to groom, tack and handle horses.

In the saddle you will learn the basics of riding at the walk and trot. Lessons will be held in our indoor arena during inclement weather. First day of class is orientation and groundwork. Riders should wear jeans or Jodhpur pants and hard soled riding or hiking boots with a small, low heel. Bring an approved riding helmet or bicycle helmet.

FORE! These 6 PGA-instructed sessions offer the knowhow and proper hands on techniques for providing the beginning golfer a basic understanding of the game. Don’t worry if you’ve never held a club before or have ever been embarrassed when you did. You will learn the application of grip and stance arrangement plus drills for your golf swing. Our volunteer coaches will help you learn passing, setting, serving, spiking, blocking and digging skills in this fast paced game through structured weekly practices. Season includes 8 practices and 6 games against other park district teams. Game strategies include learning positions, rules and rotations are taught in a fun but competitive environment. Illinois Shotokan Karate Club’s youth karate classes will put children in touch with their bodies and offers a good mix of strength training, with cardiovascular and flexibility exercises. Children increase their coordination, agility and poise, as well as learn lasting personal safety skills. They also benefit from the mental stimulation of learning the choreographed moves of the kata and the discipline of conforming to the class rules. Aquatic Facility Closing Seafari Springs Aquatic Center will be closed at the Aquatic Coordinator’s discretion based on the air temperature being 68 degrees or below, low attendance (less than 25 people), mechanical failure or inclement weather. Are you interested in having the entire aquatic facility all to yourself? Let’s make that happen. Our aquatic facility is a great place to have company picnics, church group outings, school parties, large birthday parties and many more reasons. The Seafari Springs Aquatic Center is available for rent between Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, August 13, 2017 after regular hours. Our rates include use of the entire facility. The park district reserves the right to allow more than one group to rent at the same time.

Pricing starts as low as $200 ($250 NR) per hour for 1-100 guests. Each additional guest over 100 is $4.

Splash and Dash Party (Ages 6-18) $150 Come enjoy your birthday party at Seafari Springs Aquatic Center. We will have relay race games for you to dash around and test your skills against your guests. There will also be plenty of time to splash around in the pool. Compete against your friends and family in some fun games and whatever team scores the most points WINS! 2. NEW POOL PASSES: Each family member will need a photo taken at the time of registration. All family members should sign up for pool passes at the same time.

3. Have proof of Hanover Park Park District residency ready when you come to register for your pool pass. A current driver’s license, a current State issued photo ID card OR a Matricula Card will be needed to confirm residency. If you are unsure about your residency status in Hanover Park, please call us at 630-837-2468 to avoid any confusion prior to registration.

4. Payment may be made with cash, check, VISA, MasterCard or Discover.

5. Families with over 5 members will require birth certificates for all children 23 years and under to be included on the pass. A family is defined as parent(s) and any unmarried children who are between the ages of 3 and 23 who are living at home, and, grandparents who live at the same address (proof of residency is required). Children who are 24 and older or any other relatives/individuals in the same household will not be included in the family pass. Children age 2 and under will not require a pass. Children turning 3 before July 1 will be charged as a family member. It may be necessary for our Customer Service staff to request a birth certificate for proof of age.

6. No refunds will be issued for Seafari Springs pool passes.

7. Military season passes apply to the individual who is either active or retired from the military.

Each position has different requirements and responsibilities. Positions are available to individuals 15 years of age and older. Seafari Springs Features Zero-Depth Pool

Just like a beach, the water gradually deepens from less than an inch to a depth of 12 feet. Wade and enjoy the cool water on a hot summer day. Our Jungle Shack slide is especially designed for small visitors. Water geysers shoot up to 6 feet of water.

Aqua Bloom

This feature has a large colorful flower bloom as the top. It has a series of nozzles in a unique formation around the column creating an amazing spiral curtain. A secondary jet shoots water from the center of the flower.

Turtle Falls Water Play Area & Slide

Play in a rumbling 13-foot waterfall. Climb between the rocks for a fast trip down a tropical slide.

Seafari Springs Open House

Bring the whole family out for a Safari at Seafari. Seafari Springs Aquatic Center will be hosting the Day at the Park Special Event.

The event will be from 11A-2P. Anyone attending the event will receive FREE admission to the pool. (FREE admission is only during the time of the event.) There will be a DJ, balloon twister, games, relay races, crafts and more! The concession stand will be open to purchase food. Following the event at 2pm, there will be a Duck Drop. Duck Drop Bring the family out for a quack-tacular time! At 2:00pm watch as we dump your numbered duckies down the Cheetah’s Run Speed Slide! Try and spot who races to the stairs first for the win. The first three ducks to get to the stairs will be the winners!

Sailfish Swim Team The Hanover Park Park District’s Sailfish Swim Team is a competitive organization designed to improve each swimmer’s performance, racing technique, endurance, and flexibility in an exciting atmosphere of fun and safety.

Registration is available to boys and girls between the ages of 6 to 18 who can swim one length of the pool. Our swim team competes against 10 other park districts in the Dupage Swim & Dive Conference. Information regarding practice dates and locations will be provided at the time of registration. Practices will be held at Seafari Springs.

Swim Team Registration Information Join the four-time Conference Champ Sailfish today. On Saturday, May 6, there will be a special registration booth at the Community Center, 1919 Walnut Avenue from 10 am to 12 pm. Registration will be taken at the Park District office throughout the summer. Additional children must be from the same family.

Private Swim Lessons Youth and Adult Due to popular demand, we have setup specific time slots for private swim lessons this summer. We also have extended them to Sunday mornings. Do you feel that you or your child needs more individualized attention than available in group swim lessons? Then private swim lessons are the way to go. Each private lesson offers four half-hour classes which are available at Seafari Springs from our trained swim instructors. Instructors can be assigned or the participant can select a favorite instructor (if available). Lesson times are listed below and subject to availability of instructors. To set-up lessons, come to the Community Center Administrative Office and fill out a private swim lesson form. Swim Lesson Academy The Hanover Park Park District’s Swim Lesson Academy Program offers swimming instruction for people of all ages and abilities. Four sessions of swim lessons are available throughout the summer. The Thursday and Friday of the second week of the sessions are reserved for make-up classes due to inclement weather. The Swim Lesson Academy Parent Manual is available at registration, the first day of lessons (upon request) and on the Park District website under Seafari Springs at www.hpparks. org. Participants 5 years and up will be tested the first day of class to make sure they are registered for the proper level. If needed, we will place them anywhere between the SEAHORSE through DOLPHIN levels. Parents and other spectators are permitted to wait on the deck area under the Funbrellas or at the Oasis concession area. Advance registration is recommended to ensure choice of class and times for the entire summer. Registration will not be accepted after the session registration deadline to ensure low ratios, quality lessons and instructor availability. The Park District reserves the right to combine class levels if deemed appropriate.

Inclement Weather Policy The Hanover Park Park District’s swim lesson program includes out-of-water instruction and teaches safety awareness. If there are questionable air or water temperatures/conditions, classes may still be held outof-water. The decision to cancel class will be made 30 minutes before the start of each swim lesson. Because of the large number of participants and unpredictable summer weather, we cannot contact everyone in case of cancellation. Dolphin (Advanced ages 6y to 14y) Dolphin is our advanced level of lessons. The swimmers are expected to swim all strokes without assistance one length of the pool. The strokes and skills taught are: bobs, kicks, freestyle with side breathing, backstroke, elementary backstroke, breast stroke, scissor kick, side stroke, intro to dolphin kick, intro to butterfly stroke, treading water, diving, and turns.

Seals (Intermediate ages 6y to 14y) Seals are our intermediate level where we start to introduce more advanced strokes and expect the swimmers to be able to perform them without assistance.

The strokes and skills taught are: bobs, kicks, freestyle with side breathing, backstroke, elementary backstroke, breast stroke, scissor kick, side stroke, intro to dolphin kick, intro to butterfly stroke, treading water, diving and jumping into deep water.

Swim Lesson Instructor Training All Hanover Park Park District instructors must complete a 3 hour training program specialized in different teaching techniques for all swim levels. In addition, all swim instructors are required to complete a minimum of 1 hour of in-service training per month. The swim lesson coordinator reviews all staff performances throughout the summer.

Hanover Park Park District lifeguards have completed water safety training and testing conducted by Ellis & Associates. Ellis & Associates is recognized as the leader in aquatic risk management and lifeguard training. Each lifeguard must pass the 24 hour International Lifeguard Training Program that includes First Aid/CPR/AED and water rescue skills. In addition, all lifeguards are required to complete a minimum of 4 hours of in service each month. Ellis & Associates conducts surprise audits to review the facility and staff performance throughout the summer.

Fútbol Juvenile Entre Ciudades

El Distrito de Parques ofrece clases de Pre-escolar para niño/as de 2 a 4 años de edad. Las clases varian de 2 a 3 días por semana y se ofrecen en dos locales convenientes.

Equipos empiezan de edades U10 (3/4 grado), U12 (5/6 grado), U14 (7/8 grado). Equipos jugaran contra otros equipos de diferentes distritos. Cada equipo practica una vez a la semana con partidos los sábados. Jugadores debe registrase acuerdo de su edad durante el año escolar 2016/2017. Senior Run-A-Bout Club The Senior Run-A-Bouts have moved locations. They are now meeting at the Hanover Park Senior Center Township located at 240 IL-59, Bartlett, Illinois. The group meets every Tuesday from 10am-3pm to play card and dice games along with Bingo. It is great to get out, socialize and spend time with friends and neighbors. Our Senior Run-A-Bout Club is a great way to meet new people in our community and stay active.

Senior Run-A-Bout Club Yearly Fee: $0 Anyone interested in participating in the Hanover Park Senior Center trips or classes must speak to a representative of the senior center. They can give you all the details about registration and fees associated. They also have a bus service they can give you more information about as well.

Permanent Court Time Racquetball* and Tennis court time may be reserved on a permanent basis for three sessions per year by filling out a permanent court time contract. When you reserve tennis permanent court time you receive the following benefits: Reduced rate because you pay in advance for each session, we reduce the hourly rate by $1.00. Tennis and Racquetball: Guaranteed reservation – you never need to call, just come in and play, your court is waiting. PCT goes on sale April 26, 2017 at 9 am. Those purchasing PCT during the season will have the first opportunity to purchase PCT for the Summer 2017 season.

Aerobic Studio This 2500 sq. ft. studio features wood flooring, mirrors and a state-of-the-art sound system.

Fitness Center This 2400 sq. ft. center features state-of-the-art resistance & cardiovascular equipment and a fully equipped 600 sq. ft. free weight room.

Handicap Accessibility The Park District and the CCAC are handicapped accessible and comply with A.D.A. standards. The elevator is accessible from all 3 levels and is available for public use.

Tennis Lesson Cancellations Group lesson are subject to cancellation at the Director of Raquet Sport’s discretion. A minimum class size of 3 participants is needed for the class to run.

Court Reservations & Cancellations Members may reserve court time up to seven days in advance. Cancellation of court time must be made at least 24 hours in advance of play. Members are responsible for court fees if for any reason they wish to cancel less than 24 hours and the court cannot be sold. Members who make reservations and fail to show are responsible for the cost of the court and are charged accordingly.

Guest Policy Non-members who wish to utilize the Centre Court Athletic Club facilities will be responsible for a $10 guest fee.

Monthly Play Pass If playing a lot of tennis is high on your priority list you can’t go wrong by purchasing a Play Pass. Reservations may be made up to 48 hours in advance, initially for one-and-a-half hours of tennis. If the court is available at the end of that time, please contact the customer service desk to see if the court is still available. Non-play pass holders must pay their portion of the court time fees. A valid CCAC membership is required to purchase a play pass. The play pass is available during the following hours: Weekdays from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm.

• Junior Memberships are available for individuals age 17 and under. Fitness center usage requires an orientation session for youths ages 11-15, at which time a parent or legal guardian must be in attendance.

Any subsequent use of the fitness equipment by youth ages 11-13 must be under the supervision of the parent or legal guardian. Youth ages 11-15 will not be allowed to use the free weight area. RECREATIONAL PROGRAM

Centre Court Athletic Club’s Recreational Program is designed to be a fun high energy learning experience for tennis players. The emphasis for classes will be on quality instruction that will help our students improve their tennis games as well as a fun atmosphere that will let students of all ages enjoy their time on the court and look forward to the next lesson! **Make-ups for missed classes will be limited to 2 per class per session and the front desk must be notified of the make-up at least 24 hrs ahead of time. Make-ups must be completed by the end of the session in which the student is enrolled. This is an effort to have the correct numbers of students in each class and to try to maintain the Pro:Student ratio as closely as possible. Spring Tennis Lesson Program – INDOOR

The goal of this class is simple – to learn the basics of a rally by being able to hit the ball back and forth over the net with a partner through the use of fun activities and games.

We will emphasize the development of rally skills using both forehand and backhand ground strokes, as well as introduce other tennis related skills, such as serve, return of serve and volleys.

This lesson group focuses both learning and competing on the tennis court. We look to build on the continual development of rallying skills, developing tactical and court positioning skills, as well as more familiarity with singles and doubles play. We will introduce and emphasize the overhead serve as well as transition shots, such as a slice backhand and approach shots. All this will be done in a fun, but competitive, manner.

ACADEMY PROGRAM

Centre Court Athletic Club’s Academy Program is for the students in our program who are ready to commit to becoming serious high quality tennis players. The program is structured to challenge students both physically and mentally and to help build and refine a strong tennis foundation on which they will succeed. In the Academy Program; the pro to student ratio is smaller allowing for better individual instruction during lessons, the amount of courts allocated to the class is greater so that there is less down time between points, and our high performance instructors have more experience, credentials, and track records of working with many successful high level tournament players. **Make-ups for missed classes will be limited to 2 per class per session and the front desk must be notified of the make-up at least 24 hrs ahead of time. Make-ups must be completed by the end of the session in which the student is enrolled. This is an effort to have the correct numbers of students in each class and to try to maintain the Pro:Student ratio as closely as possible. Pro:Student ratio is not guaranteed, however all efforts will be made to have the correct number of students in each class.

In an effort to encourage students of the Academy Program to play more frequently and to develop their skills correctly the following promotion applies to all Academy Program classes: Sign up for 2 Academy Program classes per person and receive 1 free private lesson! (worth $90) Sign up for 3 Academy Program classes per person and receive 2 free private lessons! (worth $180) Sign up for 4 Academy Program classes per person and receive 3 free private lessons! The focus of the class will be on developing the fitness required for high level match play, point construction, competitive mental attitude, and tournament preparation.

Registration

You asked for it, we heard you! Easier way to register for programs & events!

All you need is one form of identification:

• a current driver’s license • a current State issued photo ID card OR a Matricula Card (also known as the Mexican CID card) to receive the discounted resident rate when you register for programs and events.

You will receive the resident rate: • If your current drivers license, State issued photo ID card has a Hanover Park address.

• If you live outside of the Village of Hanover Park AND Hanover Park Park District is listed on your tax bill.

Five Easy and Convenient Ways to Register All household information must be updated ANNUALLY with Hanover Park Park District residency documented with a Photo ID (Driver’s license or State ID). CONTINUED PROOF OF RESIDENCY is necessary to guarantee that only residents living within Hanover Park or HPPD boundaries receive discounted rates.

1. Online Registration – www.hpparks.org Online registration is available through our website. If you have not yet applied for online registration, a simple quick visit to the Hanover Park Park District Community Center at 1919 Walnut Ave, Hanover Park, IL 60133 is necessary to complete the family registration form. All you need is one form of identification: a current driver’s license, a current State issued photo ID card OR a Matricula Card (also known as the Mexican CID card).

2. Fax – (630) 837-9720 Prior to faxing in your registration, a Family Information Form must be completed in person at the Park District office, accompanied by proof of Hanover Park Park District residency (Driver’s license or State ID or a Matricula Card) if you are a resident. Fax completed registration, including Visa, Mastercard, or Discover credit card information to 630-837-9720.

Residents in Hanover Park have priority for limited programs. Transfers

Requests must be made in person. A $5 service fee will apply for most transfers. A $10 service fee will apply for Preschool, Before and After School Club and Summer Day Camp programs.

Refund Policy

Refunds will not be granted for class(es) missed or forgotten. All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. Forms for refunds are available at the Park District office.

•

Refunds requested for a program prior to the start of the class will be assessed a $5 service fee.

•

A request for a refund after the program begins, but prior to the 2nd meeting, will also be assessed an additional prorated fee based upon the per class cost.

•

NO REFUNDS will be granted after the 2nd class with the exception of a written medical excuse with the fee based on the prorated cost per class and the normal service fee.

•

Refunds for trips will not be given unless the trip is cancelled by the Park District or a replacement is found to take the trip.

•

A $10 service fee applies for Preschool, Before and After School Club and Summer Day Camp programs.

Bike Path and Trails Maintenance Policy

Mother Nature will be allowed to take her own course of action with respect to out park district bike paths and trails, located at Community Park, Ahlstrand Park, Harbor Park East-West, Nautilus Park and Ranger Park. In Illinois there is no legal duty to clear paths or trails. But if an agency voluntarily takes on the job, liability may be imposed if it is not done properly.

The Park District Risk Management Agency (PDRMA) recommends that we limit path maintenance to a thorough season-ending inspection and documentation of irregularities, that we fix any hazards and that we post signs conveying the message that users of the paths and trails do so at their own risk.
