wELCOME wELCOME Welcome!
Some of you might remember a song of long ago that expressed, “here are a few of my favorite things?” Well, here are a few of my favorite words: love, peace, forgiveness, grace, and, of course, hope. Those are all great words, but hope might be the best of the list. Why? Isn’t it just another word? Maybe; but words also have a lot of value.
Our world seems to live in response to the reality that words are a powerful tool of influence. Think of the successes or failures of politicians, statesmen, writers, teachers, sales personnel, and many others who are dismissed or celebrated depending on their skill in the use of language. It’s not surprising that Proverbs 18:21 suggests that our words have the power of life and death!
Back to this word hope. Think about what that word may mean to a widow, a homeless person, someone diagnosed with a terminal illness, a person waiting to hear about being accept-
ed to a school or for a much-needed job. How about any of us who dare to read the daily news? Don’t we all desperately need the blessing of hope? The Apostle Paul seems to think so:
Romans 15:13
Our camp meeting theme is “We Have This Hope.” That hope is Jesus! What a wonderful truth to celebrate, share, and carry us through these troubled times in expectation of his soon return! May this 2023 camp meeting reacquaint and inspire us with the living hope who is our Lord, Jesus Christ!
- Steve Haley KYTN President

ACTS IN ACTION (EVANGELISM)
Ray Hall, Media CenterThere is a special place in God’s heart for His Church. Learn from the book of Acts how God identifies that place and what we can do to experience real biblical growth.
Presenter: Pastor Marshall McKenzie
The Frame Work of Acts
The book of Acts is God’s model for church growth today as it was then. Found within the book of Acts are levels of growth, connected to phases of growth that are both accomplished through God’s key principles for growth. It is here that we will begin to learn that an ascending church is a sending church.
Day: Monday Time: 2:45 to 3:45, 4:00 to 5:00
Education
The first disciples were to wait in Jerusalem until they received the promise of the Holy Spirit. They weren’t just sitting around with nothing to do. Learn what they were doing and the value it gives to every aspect of the local church of today.
Day: Tuesday Time: 2:45 to 3:45, 4:00 to 5:00
Organization
The church in Jerusalem was not an unorganized group of people that had no where to go and nothing to do. They discipled consistently and empowered intentionally and God gave growth. Learn today the blessing these two principles bring to the local church.
Day: Wednesday Time: 2:45 to 3:45, 4:00 to 5:00
Dissemination
Understand the role and purpose from the book of Acts concerning the real value of what it means to evangelize and witness. This wasn’t something the church decided to do periodically. This was something they did when ready. Learn how to be ready so what you do will be done strategically.
Day: Thursday Time: 2:45 to 3:45, 4:00 to 5:00
Replication
When Jesus empowered the disciples it was for the purpose of going into all the world. Learn how a church can move from internal replication to what Jesus meant when He said to His church, “Go”. God’s goal for His church is no different today than it was then.

WE SHARE THIS HOPE
WE SHARE THIS HOPE WE SHARE THIS HOPE
Take a moment and think about your community. Who lives next to you? Across from you? Around the corner from you? What are they facing on a daily basis? If your community is anything like mine, your neighbors are facing a world of hopelessness and fear. The news is feeding their anxiety and it seems everyone is holding their collective breath, waiting for the next catastrophe.
But we have this hope! We know that no matter how bleak the backdrop of society appears, it only makes the beauty and color of Christ’s peace and soon coming all the brighter. We have this hope. A hope based not on earthly leaders or present circumstances, but on the promise of the Ruler of all. The same One who told His disciples so long ago, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).
We have this hope and we are called to share this hope! To share it with our friends and neighbors and relatives. To let them know about the God who loved them so much that He gave His only Son. As a conference, we are passionate about sharing this message of hope with those within our territory. Last year, throughout the conference, fifty-five evangelistic reaping
meetings were held. Four hundred one people joined the Seventh-day Adventist movement through baptism and profession of faith. This year there are another sixty-six reaping meetings scheduled or already completed. These evangelistic efforts would be impossible without your generous support. As the evangelism offering is taken up this week, I know that God will multiply your gift as we partner with you and your churches to take this message of hope to those within our conference.
- Joel Sutherland Ministerial DirectorCAMP MEETING ATTIRE: Although the setting of Camp Meeting is more relaxed and informal, we encourage attire that is both appropriate to the occasion and representative of Christian principles of modesty and good taste.

Supervision of your children during Camp Meeting is essential. Children are expected to participate in the meetings and activities that are planned for them. When not participating in those activities, you are responsible for their whereabouts and conduct. Beginner through Primary divisions will have supervised drop off 15 minutes prior to meetings.
FIRST AID: The First Aid Station is primarily for the assessment of injuries that may require medical care or emergency room treatment.
