My name is Kyle Tiam. I am an Architectural Technologist. I have completed my studies, graduated from George Brown College, and obtained my Advanced diploma in Architectural Technology. Since graduating, I have had the opportunity to work in various working environments, most recently with Noir Design.
I am a dedicated and decisive person. I take great pride in what I deliver to others and will always put forth my best effort to seize opportunities. I am capable of both independent and cooperative work and look forward to learning and sharing concepts and techniques.
At this current time, I have a notable degree of proficiency in these relevant software: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft office. In addition, My work experiences have allowed me to demonstrate my time management, interpersonal and problem-solving skills and act as a leader across a large scope of varied tasks.

The multi-purpose mosaic
The Mixed Use residential building is a project that contains mercantile and business occupancies on the ground floor and houses residential occupancies on the second and third floors respectively. The goal of this project was to study the application of steel frame construction and contextualize the Ontario Building code requirements among the numerous occupancies.

A new addition
The client for this project is Acme Cosmetics. They were able to provide a set of hand-drawn sketches to provide context. The request for this project was to create a two-storey office space to carry out marketing and sales. The client has also requested that the warehouse is provided with accompanying amenities that the workspace previously did not include.

Production and preservation
Heritage Hills is made up of 2 parts. The existing Heritage house and the new 4 mixed-use units. The first objective of this project was to retrofit the Heritage house to meet modern-day living conditions and requirements. The second objective was to create new dwelling and business spaces. Later considerations such as a pool and a parkette were included to provide an additional amount of comfort for users.

A wave of inspiration
Tidal Tower takes direct inspiration from Lake Ontario. When designing this project, the objective was to emulate the same sense of relaxation received by watching the uniform pattern of gentle waves. The choice of rounding balconies and the addition of 1 large circular amenities area in the corner of the building were used to help create the definition of the structure. The ground floor serves as a mixed-use retail and lobby space while the upper floors provide dwelling units for permanent residents and guests alike.
