HELLO! I started making cards in 2011 as a way to acknowledge all of the strange, wonderful, and mundane ups and downs that make up so much of life. Since then, Kwohtations has essentially become my life in greeting cards, in which I offer up my own truths about navigating love and loss, searching for an authentic voice, (re)defining family and success, bearing witness, and figuring out what it means to be responsible for ourselves and others. Also, I firmly believe that humor is crucial to fully enjoying the good times and surviving the bad.

My hope is that everyone can recognize some of themselves in Kwohtations, and feel a bit more seen, more connected, and less alone.

GREETING CARDS ALL CARD DESIGNS START OUT AS HAND-DRAWN ILLUSTRATIONS, AND THEN ARE LETTERPRESS PRINTED AND HAND-PAINTED TO ENSURE THAT EACH ONE IS ONE-OF-A-KIND. LIKE YOU.

REPRESENTATION MATTERS. To reflect the beauty in our diversity, many of our greeting card designs come with a variety of character options (below).

Character options available for each design are included under individual product listings. We typically include a mix of characters in each order, but am happy to customize - please include any character specifications in your order.

Note: Individual designs refer to the text on each card, regardless of the featured character.

For example, a “Yay You Were Born” card with Character #1 and another with Character #2 would count as two cards of the same design.
